Beauty


Have you ever experienced true beauty?
Not that pretty face or that nice painting.....
I mean a beauty you can feel
Beauty of the heart
Its pure and untouched peace
The kind of peace that stops the hands of the clock
Its the unreserved joy a child feels on a holiday
Have you ever smelled a rose from a mile away

Woman


He looks at the woman with fire in her eyes
She meets his eyes, and peers into his soul
She knows him
He feels her lasers digging through the layers
He is uncomfortable and overwhelmed
Looking down nervously, he wishes for her to stop
She senses this
He looks back up to her, almost uncontrollably
She smiles
Her eyes are gentle
This makes him feel better
He smiles back
Hesitating at first; and with a look of confusion
He walks away thinking,"What was that all about?"
