I have experienced a definitive, no-doubt moment of a recognition of several past lives. My first past life recall began with a knowing. For me though, that wasn't enough - I knew it was real, but I also wanted absolute certainty in the form of proof/evidence.
How do you go about gathering proof? That depends on the life being recalled and whether there are any indepth historical records to refer back to. Recognising other members of the soul group can also provide a definitive no doubt moment that one is experiencing an actual past life memory, as we tend to work with the same group of souls in more than one lifetime. If historical records are available of the prior life (even if it's just a birth record, a date of death record or a name and nothing else) can be useful - here, astrology and numerology can be used to confirm.
Even when people come out of a regression believing they have imagined it all, they CAN be 'proven' wrong. Often one or more of the smallest details they have recalled (that may appear insignificant to them) holds further clues. This can be the case even if the life recalled was a simple life (i.e. one whose life was not historically recorded in no greath depth).
Often memories related to one life are received over a period of some time, so what one sees or understands to be the truth initially, is not fully understood until at a much later time when more memories are experienced.
This subject matter is not so black and white. For some people, all they will have is a knowing in cases where a memory is all they have and there are no historical records, no birth/death data and not even so much as a name recalled.
