Dreams of death

Anybody else have a dream where you actually died? I'd always heard that if you do then you die in real life...however, i have twice and am still here (if you hadnt noticed ).

Once during a nap a few years ago i had this dream where i was walking down the street, and a couple of guys walk up to me and one pulls a gun. He points it straight at my head and pulls the trigger. In that brief time i was in utter screaming terror. But after hearing the pop of the gun everything went perfectly silent and peaceful, and yes, there was bright light.

I have many times and I am still here to talk about it...lol...but I do know what you are saying. I will say the dreams I have had where I actually passed have been in single digits compared to all the ones where I came right to the point of death and then woke up.

I'm glad to see that someone else has as well. I've asked numerous people and no one else has had any dreams like this. I was wondering if i was a freak, ha ha.

I had one other dream where i died. It was in a plane crash; i remember the scary, chaotic impact and everything, and afterwards there was only blackness.

I do not believe that dreaming of death leads to death in the waking world; however, interestingly enough, I've never had a dream where I died. I will be about to die/close to death and I always wake up just before the event were to happen.

I die in many dreams, in most dreams there is a disaster going on, a different one each night. I die in dreams and continue on my way, sometimes the world changes or morphs, but I never die and go into a light or just before dying wake up.

Perhaps this is affected by the fact that I died when I was little, I drowned to death in the ocean, and I came back after I was pronounced dead. It is possible I don't have to wake up in my dreams after I die or just before I die because I have had this experience.
