Connection to Certain Animals

Do any of you feel a greater to connection to one animal over another?

I feel a great closeness to dogs, tigers, and lions while feeling a slight discomfort around domestic cats which I think they pick up on.

I feel connected to all animals. However I do have a stronger connection
to some certain ones:
Cows
Hermit crabs
Dogs
Fish
Dinosaurs

I care about them all equally but just feel closer to some :)

Oh yes, that's what I mean. Sometimes I wonder if it means anything.

As a kid, I use to try to have conversations with ants. lol I felt like there was something I was suppose to learn from them.

Me too! I love ants even though my ego sometimes gets annoyed
by them :P

Ants are so awesome and smart. A while ago I learned how intuitive
they are. I put my finger to one and thought mean thoughts. I would
think, not say, something like "If you climb on my finger I will kill you
and light you on fire." (I wasn't really going to) And I tried to give off
negative energy. Out of about 10 ants not even one climbed on my finger.
Then I did the same thing but instead tried to give positive energy and I
would think something like "Climb on my finger because I find you interesting
and I want to look at you. I'll put you down quickly and safe." And
out of about 10 ants each one climbed on my finger with out hesitation.
I was so amazed by that . I only sent telepathic thoughts and they must
of got them. The same day I saw ants on my kitchen table. My mom was
going to spray Windex on them and kill them. I stopped her and she didn't.
I gave them what they wanted (food) and thought "Take this food and
leave my house because you'll be in danger if you don't." They did
and after a few hours they left with their food. Very neat animals

Oh my gosh that's so amazing to me! I have never even considered they had that ability. But doesn't that make them seem like such highly evolved and connected creatures?

I use ask them questions and stuff about where they were going and why they worked together so well. I feel like nature has this really awesome system that can reflected by the nature of ants. The way they work together, pitch in, each doing their part... soooo very cool.

Yes. I know the nature of bats on a deeper level than any person in my life.

I'm specifically bonded to large fruit and nectar feeders (Flying foxes) but am getting to know smaller insectivores.

I understand other animals (like crows and spiders) in a way that is intimate, but nothing at all like the bond I have with bats.

Though I can't find any animal that I am specifically uncomfortable with, I find that large livestock like horses, cattle and often deer are very edgy and panicked around me, more so than most people can understand or explain.

Domestic rabbits are also terrified of me and scream, thump the ground aggressively or flee whenever they catch a scent or sight of me.

Seems to me that I connect well to predatory animals than any kind of herbivorous prey.

yes, all animals...as a child I felt much more connected to animals than to people (I thought our dog understood me better than my parents did).

cats always seemed to be attracted to me and vice versa.

cows: when we lived on the countryside the cows there all seemed freightened when humans approached, but I could calm them and stroke them, when I went away they kept following me...before that I always liked cows, but the same as other animals I think

insects like flies, wasps, bees...: I used to 'rescue' them from our pool and when they couldn't find a way out of our kitchen I let them sit on my hand and put them outside, also find them very interesting to observe!

birds: especially crows and pigeons, don't know why lol

I feel very much connected to animals in general. They seem to recognize something in me as well.
I personally find birds to be really cool and I love to watch them.
Dogs…….well they have changed my life in so many ways. What a source of love and loyalty they are.
The Bengal tiger is my all time spectacular looking animal and the Silver Back Gorilla is by far the coolest looking one IMO.

I too am an animal person. They seem to know I "see" them! Almost without exception they make eye contact with me and we establish a connection that is authentic and loving. It's been this way for me all my life. My husband used to laugh because we'd be walking across a parking lot to our car after shopping and in mid-sentence he'd suddenly realize I wsa no longer walking beside him. He'd glance back to find I'd stopped to engage in conversation and exchange of affection with dogs in peoples' cars or the back of pickups, LOL!!! I cannot help myself... I love all animals and dogs in particular call to my very soul. Let's face it.. I can't resist a furry face
