You're missing my point. I'm saying we cannot determine how complex a snail's life is by using human standards, human constructs and human physiology. We cannot truly know how complex that snail's life is. Therefore, your question is unanswerable.

I think you may have the topic mixed up PastPilot, or maybe I do ?
Isn't the question about whether people were an animal in a past life ? ...... not whether people reincarnate into an animal ?

There are some posts and blogs on reincarnating as an animal . The Hindus believe that reincarnating as a food animal is a karmic punishment . I see a number of you tube videos on animal reincarnation . If I find any thing interesting I will post info . Amazon , or Llewiyn may have some books on this , I dont know . The belief is that a soul starts with the more basic forms of life , then works its way up . I have an idea that a few humans come back as a bonobo , just for a bit of fun . I guess its just that they have a lot of sex .

Yes. I was just wondering if there are any books on this subject where people have been regressed and revelled their past lives as animal.

I haven't come across any, but then I wasn't specifically looking. All the books I have read are about either humans regressing back to human lives, or to lives where they have interacted with animals souls. In the latter case, it was people who have reincarnated with the same souls of animals (ie have had pets in their lives, but many are the same pet souls; the animal soul chose the same owner over and over, sometimes within the same lifetime of the human and sometimes not).

I believe we move between animal and human, and who knows what else! I am a spiritual medium, and a reading I recall well was my mother in law, whom I have never met because she passed before having the honor, came to our home in the form if a beloved pet, who only came for a short time before leaving this earth. I believe our souls go where they are needed either to teach or to learn.
