Is this Yellow Aragonite or Y.Calcite?

It was sold to me as Yellow Aragonite, I also have a Yellow Calcite and they do look slightly different and yet I know they are very close.

I know Aragonite spheres can look with those stripes~ brown and yellow, even the Yellow Aragonite.

I am starting to be more suspicious that this is a Yellow Calcite even if it was sold to me as Yellow Aragonite and I thought it was Aragonite for so long, it also feels different than my other Y.Calcite.

Not sure, because aragonite has so many variatons. So it’s very likely to be aragonite.
I would also think it could be calcite.

I looked at a piece I have that is heart shaped and its very similar to mine. I got it from a very reputable dealer so I trust in what I purchase.

Yellow Aragonite is what I would say it is. As its rounded off into a sphere it looses some of the edge details it would have on a flat surface.

Here is what I know of it.

Aragonite

Stone of insight and balance. In pure form its translucent or white in color. More common is the form with impurities in it bring in brown, yellow, blue, pink and green shades.

Metaphysical Properties:

Maybe they are both!

Aragonite and calcite can change from one to the other depending on temperature and pressure.

Remember they have the same chemical structure.
