NLP Question
I'm a beginner with NLP. I just started reading a book on it and I have a question about it. Can NLP help a mental disorder? I know of a person who has this problem.. He's Schizophrenic and He speaks out his voices on occasion. Can it help stop the speaking out?

NLP is often used for helping people with a fear of something - e.g. spiders, snakes, heights, etc. I would not, however, recommend it for schizophrenia. That would need a fully qualified psychologist/mental health specialist. Hypnotherapists generally will not take on schizophreniacs (and I certainly wouldn't do so).
What do you mean by "he speaks out his voices"?

When his voice speaks to him he would actually speak it out at the same time.

I want to simplify this a little. OK This person experiences voices on a regular basis. Sometimes these voices end up speaking through his mouth.. Now these particular voices arise whenever he is in Awe or Surprised. So I will call these voices a thought form. When this thought form arises it has an emotion (Surprise or Awe) He places a lot of attention on this emotion thus fueling the thought form (Voice). I'm wondering if I can use NLP to counter act the Emotion and starve off the thought form.

I don't know whether you are a trained hypnotherapist, but even if you are, I can only repeat my advice: schizophrenia is a serious mental illness which is best left to a mental health specialist. NLP is not the right tool in this case.
It is wonderful that you want to help him, but you could land up doing more harm than good. You could arouse deep seated fears or dangers of which you are not currently aware.
There is a helpful page here: http://www.familydoctor.co.nz/catego...atients-guide/
I do not write this in any way to discourage your interest in hypnotherapy and NLP. I have an advanced certificate in hypnotism and a master practitioner certificate in NLP and wish you well in your study of these areas.
