Being spiritual is like being an actor

Once you drop out of character you've lost it.

the trick is that the "character" we are imitating is our real self, and the actor portraying this character is the ego.

Just rambling. no need to post about how wrong I am.

Pretty much...but in the end, the only one who is going to give you an Oscar for your performance is your 'real' self.

So, to try and break out of this spiritual 'method acting' personae, I have just gone and watched almost every talk ever given by Jiddu Krishnamurti.

This thread reminds me of Alan Watts breaking down the word person.

Comes from the word persona which by definition is a character in a play.

yeah? guess I don't know about them because I'm not into drama.

I basically said I don't want to be argued with. I made a good observation and people are free to express their opinions about it or similar observations.

Until we reach nirvana we cannot break out of it. Thank you for encouraging me to reach nirvana though, however I already am trying lol. It's difficult.

Strange then, that your topic title makes a comparison with "actor".
