SHADOWS OF SHE

Long nights fallen by
When the world was much younger
'Neath olde English oaks
Our vows we declared
I pledged you my heart
My blood and my kingdom
You promised your love
Your life and my heir

Whirling 'round and around in space and through time
Once here but then gone and left wondering why
Whispers of ghosts from a grave near a castle
Shadows of she and long nights fallen by

Eclipsed in your eyes
The glint of a memory
The sting of my lips
My breath on your face
I still can recall
The scent of your wanting
The cut of your gown
Velvet green and white lace

Whirling 'round and around in space and through time
Once here but then gone and left wondering why
Whispers of ghosts from a grave near a castle
Shadows of she and long nights fallen by

I burn with desire
To touch and to taste you
To summons you forth
From a place lost in time
To drink my own death
And rise from my ruins
I still but shall reign
The king of my kind

Gather rains from the wind
Conjure earth bones and fire
Heed my call take my hand
And away we shall fly
To a land where the dead
Are offered the living
