Your concept of reality changes. The intellect can only grasp so much, then actual experience takes over. As to the knowledge about Christ/Krishna/Buddha I refer to Sri Vasudeva's teachings that come from his own direct experience. He often says, "I don't give you anything you don't already have," and "My story is your story." And that's all I'm going to say about that! I won't get into a debate about him - you have to decide what you want to believe or test out for yourself.

When you feel something... it's happening, and you just notice it.

What becomes removed is when you say 'it's the crown chakra', then the mind is imagining something else which is not the actual sensation which is felt.

The meditator then can either focus attention on the actual sensation happening or imagine 'something else'. I prefer to see deeper into what's actually there, because that makes the perception sharper and sharper enabling me to sense subtler and subtler things. Imagining something else only makes my imagination get better and better.

I don't disagree that the crown allows the universe energy into the body... the difference is, is it actually being perceived as it happens... or is it being volitionally imagined?

I even consider that one doesn't make it happen, it happens as the perception becomes sharp enough through awareness becoming deep enough through the mind becoming stable enough to endure the phenomena without egoic reactivity...

If one forces these developements volitionally, he does so out of an egoic desire and lack of patience, and it can be harmful if a mind hasn't the inner peace to be content with 'this' sensation in 'this' moment as it happens to be.

My experience is... anyone can feel the crown sensatations in just a few days of the correct practice, so it isn't a super advanced phenomena, rather it's a sign that awareness has deepened, and the mind has begun to perceive phenomena more subtle that the hard and solid ... within their own body...

The imagination is useful by way of a wish... which in budhism is called Metta (the loving kindness for all beings)... and it's important that it is kept pure... and not be about 'I' 'me' 'mine'... so that mutually shared loving kindness flows..

Your experience is not your teachers, and that sensation is there as it happens to you, desire no more as that unsettles the mind. The deepening mind is quiet and still.. irrespective of it's sensations.

Much happiness to you.

I had the pressure on the top of head last week when I asked for my guadian angel to come forward and give me a sign. The pressure lasted quite a while. I was paying so much attention to it my mind kept chattering about it (LOL) Then I got a cob web "thwack" to the side of my head. had this many time. It's so interesting, no fear.

Thanks Uma, I have the experience off and on. I always wondered exactly what it was. It reassuring to know that I am moving in a good direction. Sometimes I wonder.

I would like to ask you, is what Uma said 'exactly what it is', or is the sensation which occurs 'exactly what it is'?

Hi,

I get tingling during meditation and a feeling of energy over my crown chakra (you know when you hold your hand close to the tv screen and you can feel the energy off the screen, or as if someone is holding their hands above your head without actually touching it but you can feel it....) i tell you when i always experience the most tingling/itchy feelings is when i visit a spiritualist church, throughout the whole service i can feel a difference in the atmosphere.

once when i was meditating i started to get quite scared though cause my heart started beating so quickly and the prickly feelings above my head, it scared me so much i didnt know if that was supposed to happen or not so i just quickly stopped it all.

:-)
