Relaxation Ritual

I took this from the book ''the miracle of new avatar power''.
I removed the words of power,so everyone can use it without hesitation.
The point is to manage to make your self to 'follow' your words.
It's not easy or difficult,but as with all things,practise is necessary to achieve results.



Quietly read the following words aloud, listening to what you are saying. Read slowly and carefully, pausing between sentences, and stopping for about three seconds wherever you find three periods (...) in the text. It should take you a full four minutes to read the words aloud from beginning to end. You may record this on your computer and play it back for yourself instead of reading it each time. The point is to completely relax and feel good for a few minutes.


I begin to wind down, to let go and be rid of all the tensions of my
body. To let my muscles relax, unwind and let go.

‘The tensions are beginning to drain from my body. Soon, a gradual
heaviness will start to weigh down my thighs, my arms, my hands, my
feet, my legs, my body.

“My muscles unwind and let go. All my muscles are relaxing,
unwinding and relaxing.

“Very soon I shall feel the unwinding, the letting go. Unwinding and
letting go. Unwinding, letting go. Unwinding. Letting go.

“Deeper and deeper . . . letting go . . . unwinding and letting go.

“The tensions drain from my muscles and they will soon become
loose, letting go, relaxing and unwinding.

“Noises round about me will drift into the background. I shall feel
the relaxing, the letting go, the unwinding.

“Breathing easily and deeply. Easily and deeply.

“Unwinding and letting go . . . drifting into the peace and serenity of
complete relaxation. And as my body unwinds and relaxes, so I enter
the peace and quiet, where only these words have meaning, and nothing
else disturbs me.

“Letting go . . . unwinding . . . letting go . . . unwinding . . . relax . , .
relax . . . relax ... let go ... let go ... let go .. . relax . . . relax . . .
relax ... let go ... let go .. . let go.)

That's a good one. Another method I found beneficial is body scans like in mindfulness of bodily sensations or even the calm abiding technique which emphasizes feeling the sensations of breath and relaxing the body on inhale and exhale. I find relaxation comes more naturally to me on the exhale.

I now incorporate about 3 minutes scanning bodily sensations from feet to head, feeling sensation and relaxing the part being scanned on a slower and longer exhale at the beginning of any sitting, and regardless of the specific technique I'll be practicing.

I'll also use the scan & relax technique just about anywhere and any time, and for convenience's sake the entire body at once. It's particularly relaxing while driving.

Body scans are effective if you're trained to use your mind.I use them also.
The relaxation ritual i posted,is about learning how to drive verbal commands to your inner self and gain his cooperation by the use of your spoken word.

I think it's easier for a newbie to go this way.

Also the author gives some extra tips to get in the 'mood'.


Ideally, it should be at the same time and in the same
place, seated on the same piece of furniture.

Yes, you are going to relax sitting down. Later you will be lying
flat on your bed, performing true miracles with your New Avatar
Power, but for the moment you should use it while you’re sitting
in a chair. This powerful Ritual will send you straight to sleep if
you practice it lying down at this stage of your development.

Find a place where you can be undisturbed for about quarter of
an hour. Switch off the TV and radio. Decide which chair you will
sit in: if it is too soft, you’ll fall asleep. On the other hand, if it is
too hard you will be uncomfortable. An ordinary padded kitchen
or dining chair is excellent.

Place your chair in the room where it feels right for you.
Against a wall, in the corner of the room, in the center of the
room, by the door, by the window— anywhere: but when you sit
down you should feel at ease. Most people choose to place their
chair against a wall, facing the door.

Once your chair is positioned, use that spot each day during
your New Avatar Power Ritual.

Darken the room by drawing the drapes or hanging a blanket at
the window. Ideally, the room should be dim enough so that you
cannot read the fine print of a newspaper— but it should never be
pitch black during these sessions.

Some people find that a single candle burning, or a dim, colored
lamp helps them.

Now arrange a single light to shine gently over your shoulder on
to your lap so that you are able to read the New Avatar Power
Ritual.

Sit back in your chair. Make yourself comfortable with your
back straight, but not stiff. Tuck your buttocks into the back of
the chair so that your spine is upright, with your chin held level
without any straining to hold the position. Your head should
balance easily on your shoulders without any tendency to drop
either forward or backward.

Place your feet flat on the floor, almost touching. Loosen any
tight clothing you may be wearing. What you wear is unimportant,
as long as you are comfortable. You can be barefooted, or even
totally nude if you wish.
