How do you know that the Tanakh, Torah, Old Testament is true and real?

First, sorry if this seems odd to ask...it's because of a question and discussion now on another Forum.

Hi,
Christians have a belief that the whole of the Bible is real and a message from God...God inspired...all true.
Do you believe this also that every word is true and real?
All the stories and so many many names...in the your Bible?

With respect...I am wondering why? When did this belief start?
For you it must be like a history book.
Do you also think every story is 100% true?
Is it a belief like it is for Christians based on faith?

Many think it is stories made up by primitive, superstitious, early man...
men that didn't even know where the sun disappeared to or thought
a comet was a chariot in the sky...so were full of fear...thus, projected that belief onto God...
So do Jews today think it is all true...or metaphors?

Thanks for any input.

So.... many questions.

I would say most Christians have issues with the Old Testament and in many act as if it is not there.

I look at in the same light I look at the Talmud........ and by doing so, it makes perfect sense.

Paleo Hebrew and Old Hebrew convey as far as I have seen, the same information. Modern Hebrew is a different story..... it is so enlightening.

For me, the sacred writings resonate with the style of the Talmud.

The Hebrew to ME.

Hebrew is a very layered language.
Not that I do any serious study, but I do take the English back to it's original language at times.
The Hebrew can have numerical meanings and each symbol has a literal meaning.
For example / Aleph = Ox - also = 1 / Bet = House - also = 2 / Gamel = Camel - also = 3
Then you have older ancient script symbols.
The writing style can mean different things that we may not comprehend today.

But with any writing, lets take 1 event today and have 5 people write about it. You know it will have 5 different versions.
So I always keep this in mind.

Interesting.

The Tetragrammaton is introduced in Genesis 2:4.

Why was the expression not introduced in the first creation account?

Why is it hard to find much information about this expression in modern English translations?

Do you, as a Jew, believe every word is true and a direct message from God?
How come if you do? I mean your Bible. Thanks
