Namaste.

Beautiful picture and I love what Gayatri Devi represents in Her form as Prakriti manifest.

Gayatri (Shakti) is also Tripurasundari - the Goddess of the three realms of Bhur (humankind) as represented by the lowest three Chakras - viz Muladhara, Swadisthana and Manipura in alignment with the human evolutionary condition of existence within the material universe, Bhuvah (Sky/Akasha) which incorporates both the Anahata and Vishuddhi Chakras and is the 'gateway' between the immanent and the transcendent through unconditional love, honesty and integrity, finally leading to Swar (Swarga) which is the 'heaven within' as symbolised by Ajna and Sahasrara Chakras, leading man to realise the pinnacle of innate and encompassing Divinity, resulting in the bliss of Satchitananda (Tat Savitur).

Thus, the personification of the Goddess in relation to all three levels (lokas) and modes of material nature (gunas), sees Her as the potential energy of Kundalini Shakti, coiled three and a half times around the Swayambu Lingam at the base of the spine...and also in the svaroopa (form) of Maya or the manifested energies of the supreme consciousness of Shiva.

I just spend 3 days immersed in the Gayatri and the love of Shantimayi..

I've known the Gayatri Mantra for 23 years.
Never known before that she had been personified by a deity..

Ah..

According to the vedic purists, Gayatri isn't/cannot be personified according to the Rig Ved and the Gayatri Mantra is basically a hymn to the solar deity called Savituh (Hiranyagharba) however, the female form of Savituh is called Savitri, which is also synonymous with Gayatri and hence, the manifested energies of the Solar Deity also became personified, however as in the case of Hindu deification, all aspects of the 'wives' of the Trimurti, can be as interchangeable as their masculine conterparts, with Sarasvati representing Sattva Guna, Lakshmi representing Raja Guna and Kali representing Tamoguna....and thus, when they all join up to form Tripurasundari (also called Rajarajeshwari), they collectively take form as the Goddess, Gayatri...however, just like Sadashiva, She has 5 heads to represent the 5 senses and the 5 elemental tattwas to illustrate she incorporates and transcends all of them through her existence, so in another way, as the Saguna form of Shiva is transcended to become Sadashiva (beyond Shiva), the Saguna form of Parvati is transcended to become Para Shakti as opposed to Apara Shakti at the macrocosmic level.

Thank you.

It may be so.
In my heart it works like this..

THAT profound and subtle awe and wonder and Exquisit love I feel for the divine personified through the Gayatri Mantra now found a form. (Statue/depiction) resembling a 5 headed, 10 eyed, 10 armed goddess. Which allows me to project and realize THAT which she is. A pure manifestation of all THAT is.

It's a beautiful feeling, to be immersed in Mother Divine through Bhakti. <3

Here's a picture that I really like:

As a Tantrika, I cannot ignore Shakti as being one with Shiva and my 'heart strings' are tugged with images like this one:

Leading me to feel those same things, straight from the heart.
