Reiki Atunement Level 1

Hello everyone,

Since last December I have been struggling with a severe back injury called spondylolisthesis, it has left me in chronic pain as I'm waiting for surgery, iv taken all kinds of medication for pain relief and nothing worked. I got two reiki sessions done and I'm left speechless, I'm pain free and feel fantastic overall. So long long story short I'm beginning reiki level 1 at end of the month, can anyone tell me their experience of the atunment

Very happy to hear of your recovery. Maybe it was meant to lead you to doing a healing course and become a healer. Perhaps you already are a healer and this episode of pain brought your ability to your awareness.
When I got my attunement for Reiki 1 the first 21 days were somewhat uncomfortable as I had a lot of clearing to do. I wondered what the fuss was about because I was expecting instant healing for my health issues. Gradually I started noticing synchronicities in my life and found myself attracted to tarot, crystals and different spiritual forums. I found myself able to send remote healing instinctively even before I did level 2. Looking back I realize that Reiki 1 kickstarted a spiritual awareness programme in my life. In fact it shifted my perspective about everything and was a life changing event for me though I could not make the connections when I was doing the course. I feel blessed that it gave me what I needed and not what I expected.

If somebody wants to do level one and two is it any Reiki Teacher you can ask to help you do it and how do you become recognised as certified to practice once you've completed the courses? Do you have to register it somewhere? Also how long do the courses last?
