What happens when you break a stone?

I just went outside to charge my selenite in the moonlight and everything was amazing. Until I decided it needed just three more seconds in a different spot... and I dropped it, and it split in two.

I feel horrible. This stone specifically was calling out to me so much, and I can buy a replacement, but it feels like I hurt someone really close to me.

The last week was spent charging it with so much particular energy... Will that be gone now that the stone is split in two? If so, is there any way to get that 'programming' back?

Idk about the particular energy gone or not.
But you have 2 Selenites now.
Add another question, is size matter to the crystal's power?
Bigger then better? Or is still the same if we divide our crystal into some pieces?

You can still use it, just keep charging it and do what you do.
I don't think the energy would be gone but if you feel it is, then start over.
To help start over leave it in a jar of salt for a while too.

You know what's funny, I've never felt it more intense than it was just before breaking. Even now, I can still sense it - it's going crazy.

So having the stone split in two doesn't alter the energy? Would it be ok if I get another selenite and keep both?

If you still sense it, that's mean split doesn't alter the energy.
That even more intense, should I just break my Selenite into 2 ?

Lol I don't think you should break stones all willy nilly.

But selenite can break easily so I don't think you need to worry about the stone.
It's a mineral so at least it didn't crumble into too many pieces.

I had a similar thing happen to a piece the shape and size of a soap bar. Broke in 4 pieces. All were still okay. A crystal may be in a bit of shock cos of the fall and separation, but maybe not. You'll have to feel.
All pieces can still have energy and thus can still be used. It's just a bummer that if it was a tumbled piece, like mine was, you can't really hold/carry it anymore as selenite needles will come off.

Put it in the full moon's light next week. Might do it good, but I think it's fine, since you say it still feels strong :)

Three years ago I accidentally dropped and broke my amethyst bed. I was heart broken as it too had been calling out to me. Its vibrations seemed much quieter than they had been prior to breaking, so I tried pairing up the two broken pieces with a tumbled rose quartz that I brought home on the same day as my amethyst bed. They definitely enjoy one another. Though in saying that - I've recently discovered that both pieces have their own unique energies. :)

If you can easily put the two pieces together, reunite them when you need to use them. That's my feeling on it. :) Sometimes there is power in broken things. Definitely forgive yourself though... It's not your fault it's such a volatile mineral. It forgives you.

Also, I carry a bunch of stones around with me, and my fluorite has extra cracks from travelling. I think it just adds character.
