I wouldn't go anywhere with the man by myself. IMO The man has ideas he can sway you to his way of thinking.
There are some men that don't take hints even when they are smacked upside their heads with it. Some men think as long as you are talking to them then they have a chance. If he makes any close touching moments then you need set him straight and if he doesn't respect that then break any ties with the man.
You aren't the jerk, he is if he doesn't respect your decisions.
