It's a bit funny because if you take a look at Jesus or even at Buddha, they needed time away from society, in this society I don't think one can get closer to the Creator. There are so many christian monks who chosed solitude and now are remembered for their miraculous actions.Jesus or even Buddha, they both gave up the things of this world, they had only their clothes on themselves.... I see that the isolated retreat it's a crucial component in Buddhism... it's the same in christianity but it's not such a popular thing, only the people that feel called to do it chose this path.

Can't you notice that the "teachers" of today's world are very rich and when looking at the "teachers" of the old world, they had no material treasure? They may say money means nothing, but to me, this is a sign.Let me tell you this, money means nothing to me, I use it only to help people and my family, if I would become very richer over night, I would give up everything without telling someone about my action. This brings back in my mind that just some time ago I tried to guess the lottery numbers while in deep meditation, it was just for fun :))) I knew that it's not going to happen because I don't need money... of course, I saw some numbers but I did not cared to remember them

The Buddha did spend a lot of time away from Society.... and realized it didn't give him the answers he was seeking....

' Siddhartha followed this life of extreme asceticism for six years, but this did not satisfy him either; he still had not escaped from the world of suffering.'

The middle way.

He abandoned the strict lifestyle of self-denial and ascetism, but did not return to the pampered luxury of his early life.

Instead, he pursued the Middle Way, which is just what it sounds like; neither luxury nor poverty.

There's nothing wrong with pursuing ' Worldly ' things, it's the ' Attachments to the Desires ' that cause suffering.

Yes, but he had to do it in the first place, you know, to try everything.I've read about Buddha's story, one of the most amazing I ever read, I indentify myself with Siddhartha when he first became aware of the suffering in the world and I am trying the very same thing, to free myself from this illusionary world, I pushed myself even further and nothing changed.

Nothing wrong, true, but my faith goes to the teachers of the "old world", they were truly sincere, for me, Christ is the greatest of them, but that's just me... I never met Buddha in my OBEs but I did used to lotus position to meditate once while having an OBE, it was amazing.

TM. I think the focus has to be on the non-illusory things rather than escape or seeking freedom. Its the real things that perform that function of setting free, so seeking them is the key. Christ was about finding real things, actual truth. A lot of what passes for spirituality is fatally compromising with the illusionary world as if that was the right way forward. But it doesn't work, only a return to true authentic spirituality that won't compromise can hope to change things.

we will be out of the current Ice Age.

Will Mother Earth still be here? YES.
Will we here? Maybe.

But then............ how many groups pray for Mother Earth to evolve?
Oooops.....

Fair enough.
I can see how you could think I was referring to warming.
I have no problem admitting we are in the receding period of the age of ice.

I was using it(fever) more as an infection by humans greed and destructive practices. Corrupt systems that reek havoc on simple natural Life.
Like, lets split an atom and then spread that system around the world and see how that ends up.
I could go on and on about systems that man has created.

I also do not see the Earth going anywhere soon. Life as we know it, is where I see trouble.

When Dinosaurs were the most advanced species on the planet:
I never heard anybody claim Dinosaurs were reeking havoc on the planet!

When I was a Dinosaur in a previous life, I was a big, big dinosaur.
One day, there was a little dinosaur that would run around and would drive me crazy.
I put a stop to his irritations when I scooped him up and swallowed him whole.
Immediately I got one terrible stomach ache that last for 5 hours.
The pain disappeared when I had a bowel movement that was a singular 4" spherical shaped stinky.

Time passed and one day, in this life time, I found a piece of Coprolite.
When I picked up the Coprolite, I went into a deep sleep and then it dawned on me I was holding petrified dung.......
Actually my own petrified dinosaur dung from one of my past lives..........

As time passed by, I collected more and more of my own Coprolite.
One day I came face to face with the one who was the little dinosaur.
I told him he would be able to ascend in this lifetime if he can get his, actually mine, Coprolite from me......

I never told him that I already had plans for his/mine Coprolite... I was going to grind it up as an aphrodisiac.

The moral of the story... I might be the only person who has really worked on getting their ******** (dung) together.

In the age of ice you have seen it written.
I just wrote it and passed it to you as my opinion.

I do like a story with a moral ending.

what would Jesus be, really, angry for. promise? is he rather happy and satisfied in giving rather than gaining, as how he is then. is that smart of him or merciful, or does not know what smart is and trusts in the grace fighting the good fight, good fight? plain and simplyit's originality of good fight, and and mercy for us to gain foot backin. i think surely Jesus is nice

Jesus is the good one.

Are you going to help calm him down?

I don't think so. Keep in mind that there are perhaps infinitely many different versions of the story of earth in the infinity of the multiverse. Some polluted and abused, some pure and healthy, and everything in between. Just as there are perhaps infinitely many different versions of you, responding to their earths in an infinite variety of ways. Each of these stories exist, their endings are written in the mind of God. So perhaps the relevant question would be, why might your soul have decided to manifest within its consciousness this particular scenario? Why are you reading this story, as this protagonist, as opposed to all of the other stories you could potentially have made kinetic and experienced. What opportunities for beautiful deeds might it present you? Or perhaps it is better if you don't have that answer, it might spoil the ending and cheapen the experience of the story. In any case, you are here now, you have created this world within you, so it is your cross to carry (or not?). Whatever comes of this experience, I expect your soul will be a bit better for it in one way or another.
Jesus Anointed at Bethany
(Matthew 26:6-13; Luke 7:36-50; John 12:1-8)

3 While Jesus was in Bethany reclining at the table in the home of Simon the leper, a woman came with an alabaster jar of expensive perfume, made of pure nard. She broke open the jar and poured it on Jesus’ head.
4 Now some of those present expressed their indignation to one another: “Why this waste of perfume? 5 It could have been sold for over three hundred denariib and the money given to the poor.” And they scolded her.
6 But Jesus said, “Leave her alone; why are you bothering her? She has done a beautiful deed to Me. 7 The poor you will always have with you, and you can help them whenever you want. But you will not always have Me. 8 She has done what she could to anoint My body in advance of My burial. 9 And truly I tell you, wherever the gospel is preached in all the world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her.”
