Is there a certain type of empathy when you can feel people's intentions or energy through shaking hands??

If you are an empath, you should be able to do that without touching.

With empathy, some heavily guarded people can unknowingly block an empath but most times it's to a certain degree. They try to mask emotions on the outside like they try to ignore them or make themselves believe they are happy n in good spirits when they are really hitting rock bottom for instance. I won't even feel the energy vibration from these people unless I touch them like shaking their hand. That vibration alone tells me the emotional state because if they are anxious or depressed the vibration is so uncomfortable like I had a set of jumper cables hooked up to my hands or feet because it is not compatible with mine. I can't detect vibrations at all from children 10 or under or domesticate animals.

I know in my case I can. There is an energy we can sense through touch which is revealing.

I've noticed some objects can be done this way like feeling emotional residue.

It seems that touch does give us additional, or reinforcing information. I couldn't explain why, but I do experience more closeness and understanding with touch (handshakes included, of course).

That's interesting. So if someone has malicious intent, you can sense it from touch?

Interesting. Why not from young children or domesticated animals?

Does that mean you can sense something from wild animals, or you don't have the chance to experiment on them yet?

I think can do either ways to feel empathy to them,it's quite simple by looking at them or shaking their hands all can feel the energy around them. May be the atmosphere tells the secret.
