I have started a thread in the Vegetarian/Vegan forum because i am only looking for vegan suitable remedies.

something you're doing, or not doing, that is prolonging your acne.
For instance, I seem to be sensitive to sugar, milk, and cheese. Milk has lactaid( the sugar in milk). It makes my skin break out in rashes and small pimples on my face. It can be maintained by consuming low amounts of sugar.
You may be consuming something that your body has a low tolerance for, or some kind of deficiency, or not enough fresh air.(from personal experience)not trying scolding you, or anything.
Now, none of us know your diet...so we cannot really be much of help. You wanna sedate it with natural creams, soaps, oil, etc...which will only sedate the issue, not get rid of it...just being honest.

Why would you care if it's 'internal' if it actually works.
I read the list of ingredients (you can google them) and I didn't see any non-vegan ingredients- but you'd be the expert on that.

Hi,
Maybe this has been discussed as I only read your post OP & no other answers.
Some questions to explore yourself, don't feel forced to answer. It is your business
~ Inside Out ~
I am wondering what it is you eat.
I am wondering how much water you drink.
I am wondering if you have food allergies or intolerances you're not aware of, for example:
of course different for you, but the following are my eliminations - processed foods, especially processed proteins - high fat - or certain fats; especially oils, even coconut oil - *remember that not enough fat for our individual needs will dry out your skin. * & healthy fats in moderation are good for us, & for some more fats are better & have helped to eliminate problem skin.
Might you take probiotics.
How much foods are in your diet that have a lot of natural water.. where it hasn't been dehydrated, such as in their whole form.

What I like to use to help eliminate & heal faster, I used aloe vera gel, either straight by plant, or bottled from a natural health store. I use a q-tip to apply it, I use a good amount, a glob size on any new acne or very deep cystic bump that may be forming. This will help to dry it, as it is a natural bleach & heal the area, you won't cause it to scar & if by chance it has scarred, or it's been picked :(, it will help heal or & bleach out the brown pigmentation that is left - which usually means a scar has formed. I have always found, that the longer the brown pigment lasts, the deeper the scar - possibly due to not healing as fast, if immunity may be low - & diet not working for the individual.
*Also, sometimes the Aloe Gel causes my skin to redden, I've found in the past that if I use it on an injury on my face, that this reddening was never caused, unless I used it on other area's of my face that weren't injured. Anyhow, this can be from a natural unfertilized source or a bottled source - I know people will be motivated to say, that it is caused by the substance not being 100% in it's pure form & that there may be alcohol in the bottle but this has not been true as I get it from both. Getting to the point; & again, this may not happen for you, but I used to scrub it off at first, but now I just leave it & let it do it's thing, the redness goes away after a bit. & it still heals the area.
If you can catch a newly scarred area quick enough, with aloe, you may not be left with a scar at all.
Certain E.O's (essential oils)
Exfoliation
Bentonite Clays - either drinking or using topically
Taking a 1/2 of lemon - if your too sensitive to this, than diluting the lemon juice with water. What I've found beneficial for myself: I hold a 1/2 lemon to my problem area for a few minutes, or until I get that tingly sensation, never over doing it, & never rubbing it on, only holding it - or a rash may be caused from over exposure to too much acidity, & making your skin raw & causing damage - & than I move the half to another part, & so on. I don't rinse this off, as I do it right before bed, as I've found the best outcome - some people do rinse it off after 15-20 mins. I tried that way too, but I came by my method accidentally.
I get as much sticky drying juice on my face, careful of the eyes, & go to bed & in the AM, wash it off. It will also help to bleach brown pigment caused by scarring but will help cleanse, heal, & close pores. A very nice natural astringent. However, be careful to not go into too much sun light - & or use sun protection. Especially if you have melasma.
Cucumber Juice, or any green juice - starting out with dilutions of green or lighter greens. Green Veg.
Fruit juices have caused me more acne. It's not always a "detox" - it might be that your body cannot handle it. Everyone is different.
*** Also Wheatgrass juice, try to grow it yourself without it being grown in store, sometimes they often use fertilization - which is just a FacePalm moment for me. Even natural health food stores. Like. Duh. LOL. so. Wheatgrass juice has AMAZING properties to help heal scarring & acne. I like to use 1-4oz /day, but it is only recommended at 1-2 oz/day. & you may see this right away or in 1-3 weeks. It is really dependent on your diet. Also, just a warning, wheat grass, is very stimulating to the system. If anyone out there wanted to eliminate caffeine, make the switch to wheatgrass juice - again dependent on your diet - it is that morning jolt you may need!! :)

I would like to mention how much the mind can affect the body.
There is something which seems important to me, and it is "what" you think of yourself.
If in your mind, you are clearly affirmative about having an "acne problem", you are effectively transmitting this information continuously to your body through "mind-waves" which are "interpenetrating" your whole organism. And our organism, which is composed of various organisms itself, reacts to those "mind-waves" in the most logical way.
Each living cell in our body reacts to those "mind-waves" and answers accordingly. The general answer of your body may be the persistence of the acne problem because you think it's a persistent problem.
So, as a first step, I'd advise to do some introspection, and change your mind set, change your point of view by inducing the thought that "you have a normal condition overall" and that "the acne that affected you is soon going to be a problem of the past".
Be convinced that you can get out of it, and in your daily life, try to notice those moments where you emit thoughts that go against this new point of view to be able to counter them by new thoughts. The new "mind-waves" that will therefore be emitted will progressively go through your body and impregnate it, and it may change your experience of this problem (of the past).
I'm sure that this method could improve your condition, but it needs commitment : you need to be conscious of those "bad thoughts" the moment you have them, in order to consciously validate or invalidate them.
Another point that I would like to mention some of the thoughts that may be "bad" :
- "I am unlucky to have this conditions" : this thought by itself indirectly affirms that you have a condition, and introduces an "unlucky" mind-wave which may be handicaping
- "I have tried everything and nothing solved my problem" : this thought indirectly projects the problem as being externally curable, while it could very well be "internally" (from your own self) be cured, also it affirms that the potential solutions to the problem don't work with you, which looks like affirming that you are "unlucky" or even "cursed", which obviously generate "negative" mind-waves too.
- "I am ugly, I don't like myself" : this thought generates very negative mind-waves of auto-dislike which are not very well perceived by your organism which may feel rejected, and in fact, which may even reject you in the long run (and maybe the "acne problem" is related to this kind of self-esteem problem).
I wish you a full recovery the sooner possible, maybe with the combination of different techniques.
May the forces of Good help you in surpassing this problem asap !
Cheers,
K

I sometimes use a combination of lemon juice, himalayan salt, and water and use it as a face scrub. Gets rid of a lot of oily blackheads and such.

hello hello.....
i am vegan too.....actually due to the fact, that I have skin probs.....now i love it......my raw vegan life style....
my skin was getting better and better the first half year.....but out of a sudden it went awful again......approx after half a year......i was reading about it a lot....it is due to detoxing....and due to stress......and due to what vegan food i eat......
I realized ...the less i eat of nuts....the better my skin is....and I also realized the less processed my food is....the better for my skin.....for example....vegan sausages are not good for me at all
So.....as i am over with detoxing now.....I try to relax as much as possible.....(meditation)......and i am trying to eat as simple as possible.....raw vegan
hm.....I hope it helps

Vitamin C, Vitamin D (preferably in the form of sunlight)...Vitamin B complex, and vegan Omega3 oils. All may help.
Also what may help is a lotion made from Goose-grass, Echinacea Angustifolia, and Golden Seal, let down with a little water and applied 3 times a day to the skin.
N.B. Golden Seal may turn the skin very slightly yellowed, but it is harmless. Don't let it get onto clothing as it will stain.

Aloe, goldenseal, vitamin C, and probiotics are all good and recommended for topical or a temporary treatment for skin inflammation and acne, but there is no substitute for getting at the root source.
Managing stressors...see above treatments, also meditation and exercise...
and most importantly of all...stopping accumulation of toxins and irritants at the source.
Avoid these most blatant and common systemic and skin irritants wherever possible:
-Smoking/drugs/alcohol
-Dairy, and most particularly cow's dairy (known to be poorly digested)
-Gluten (creates leaky gut and inflammation...often expressed in the skin)
-Excessive richness (sugar, candy, milk chocolate, fried foods)
All of these things are known to create loads of systemic toxins which also aggravate the skin. As a vegan you are presumably avoiding dairy, but you may still have loads of gluten in your diet.
Also...if there are other allergens or chemicals in your diet (soya, corn, nuts or legumes, certain fruits, etc) or personal hygiene products (shampoo, oils, lotion, etc) that trouble you personally, you should avoid them wherever possible. Anything consumed or applied or to which you are exposed will affect the skin.
Drinking water & good herbal teas which tonify and purify kidneys, liver, skin, &/or digestive system will tend to help the skin.
Peace & blessings,
7L
