Uh...Hi, I guess?
Hi! I'm Steven. I'm from small town Alabama, now located in big city Georgia. I was raised Southern Baptist, but I've had my battle on and off with spirituality for a long time...Considering myself Agnostic for the greater part of the last several years. I've always been "different" but I've fought it and just refused to accept it and I've been reflecting on it a lot recently and coming to terms with things being different than I may remember them, and also finding some repressed stuff.
I went through a really traumatic loss in July of 2017 and toward the end of the year everything started to really change for my spiritually...Paranormal stuff and what not, but now like haunting paranormal.
I'm fairly certain I'm tapping into spirit medium abilities and it's really freaking me out. My girlfriend humors me, and my mom is ecstatic, because she's been trying to tell me I was "special" all my life, but I live alone, and while I'm doing my best to tap into everything without throwing myself in head first it's still really freaky and terrifying for me, I also can't control it too much? And I'm consistently stressed from work, and suffer from depression and anxiety on top of it all.
I'm interested in all sorts of practices and mysticism of different culture and am always open to learning about more practices and belief systems, as I'm just trying to find my own, and I don't believe there's one wrong or right one so....Anyway! Just looking for a place to read up and maybe get some support and guidance on this journey.
