Book1 Christainity Is Not A Religion

Quote me wrong if you can...
Can someone tell me the Religion of Jesus Christ himself when he came to this world... Everyone know that Christainity was all about the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN ON EARTH.

Eberuoba, now I am wondering whether you are a Christian disseminating warnings of an impending end of the world or whether you want to know whether everything that is said by Christians is true.

Waiting for a reply.

He appeared to be a practicing Jew...following what Jewish males did...but then I think he was the groom at the wedding of his first miracle...so what do I really know.

Ah, wait trick question ----''when he came to this world...'' - he had no religion, none of us do!
(I'm sure I've won the prize.)

And yes, anyone listening to Jesus after spending 40 days and nights in the desert (!!!!) would see that was all he could do was talk about the Kingdom....read from Matthew 4:17 and see the first words he said when he first started his preaching and healing Mission... ....

(I actually listen to men.... that have fasted for 40 days!!!)

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

I agree I think he was Jewish (second time you posted this question yes?) It wouldn't make sense for him to be Christian would it? It's like saying my religion is Sybilline or something.

Jesus was in fact jewish. The bible described him as "a dark skinned jew" or something along those lines, varies from translations.

Yes, but the moment he had different ideas to what the Jewish faith consists of he ceased to be one.

There is no physical description of Jesus in the Bible except that found in Isaiah.
Quote:
“He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to Him, nothing in His appearance that we should desire Him.”

Jesus was an Essene. The description of Jesus given by Edgar Cayce is of a fair-skinned man with reddish hair and blue eyes. Apparently the Vatican has the same description.

Here are descriptions of Jesus and the sources: http://www.thenazareneway.com/likene...ur_saviour.htm

Quote:
Physical Appearance: The Essenes were in Higher Spirit’s words, “rather tall, fairly muscular”. Lighter complexion than most of the other tribes of Jews. Many had blue eyes and fair skin. Jesus had blue eyes, reddish brown hair and light colored skin, which became very tanned from the sun.

Because much of what Cayce said, including the physical appearance of Jesus, has been supported by other sources.

The physical appearance of Jesus is not important, is it.

If Christianity is not a religion, then what is a religion?

I thought that religion is when you believe in a Deity, and you believe that the Deity needs you to obey it, and has a reward and punishment system. And Christianity fits all that. Plus rituals, like going to church at certain times, praying at certain times, doing certain other things at certain times, reading the Bible.

I believe that Jesus was a Jew who brought reformation to the old religion. Maybe Jesus was not religious and only acted in this way in order to "fit in" and in order to reach his people in a spiritual sense. Or maybe he was religious if he believed in a Deity who would reward or punished him depending on his behavior.

But I do not think that Jesus believed that he was God in the sense that Christians think he is. I think that what he said was misunderstood by the later generations.
