Is wicca evil? I don't believe in evil outside of the human mind.. but for the sake of the question, no not in itself.. But anything can be used for egoic reasons, for personal gain or even for harm..

It's the intention of the individual or group that counts..

If you looked into any group you could find someone who is living their lives with integrity, appreciation, compassion and love.. You could also find someone who lives a selfish life for personal gain and would step on their grandma to get to where they want to be...

It's very black and white to label and group "evil" or "bad" as you have a broad spectrum of people within that label

i suspect those you tube videos are sponsered by the religious people.

wiccans practice an earth based, gentle, do no harm spirituality.

That may be correct for neo-Wiccans, or American Wiccans - but the old Gardnerian practitioners sure knew how to throw a curse when needed! The ones I know still do.

Yup. Magick was never about being fluff bunny. It was about defending yourself when the situation called for it, even if it meant cursing someone.

And the Cunning Folk were always morally ambiguous - A Crooked Path, combining the Left and Right-hand paths as required.

A hammer can be used to build a summer house by a lake. It can also be used to smash the heads of little children. Is the hammer evil?

Many of the book writers were taught from Crowley. Crowley was the father of Satanism.....So the same books you read may have been written by the same people taught by a Satanic Leader...

Right, some Christians bash Wiccans and New Agers, some New Agers and Wiccans bash Christians. New Agers sometimes bash Wiccans, and sometimes Wiccans bash New Agers. But not all are like that, which is why it doesn't make sense to bash a whole religion just because some in it are bashing yours.

It's common for people in New Age religion to feel spiritually superior over Christians, and for Christians to feel spiritually superior over New Agers. "Your enemy is just like you."

People in each one will also say "I don't have a religion like 'they' do, I have real spirituality." It's common for both Christians and New Agers to say that.

Also in both religions there are those who don't associate themselves with their religion, they say "I'm not New Age" or "I'm not a Christian," even though they have the beliefs and characteristics of those religions. It's especially prevalent in New Age religion though.

But I don't know very many people in Wiccan religion, do they also tend to do this? The Wiccans I've heard know they follow a religion and don't have a problem calling themselves Wiccan. It seems to be the more honest of the three religions in that regard.
