I easily agree! With no body language to go by, and with few gender ques it's like we're dancing with words among concepts and ideas. It is kinda cool though that we're each disembodied forms of thinking. The concepts and observations become the thing without many of the complexities that accompany normal face to face interaction. And the people we meet in forums like this one (from all over the world) would likely never cross our path otherwise. So I love that it's available, even thought the adjustments can be awkward at times! :)

I've been coming here for quite a while and during that time I have adjusted to forum "ways".

I've made some really solid friends here. And you're right, otherwise I would have never had such an opportunity. One is from New York, another from Pennsylvania, another from Greece, and several from England.

I am glad the internet is around as well, it has been interesting to watch it grow over the years and watch how it has effected the way people communicate in both negative and positive ways, on the internet and in the real world. I'm fairly new to this site, but certainly not to the internet and forums etc. It has changed a lot over time, this site is great, sort of a haven where people are a bit nicer than at many of the other sites I have visited.
