For most of my routine I have been increasing weight very rapidly lately, but I'm training really hard and eating 5 full meals every day + a couple of snacks.

The big lifts are still a bit of problem in mobility and technique. My shoulders effect my bench mostly, but I'm pushing 50 kilos (110lb) for say 6 or 8 reps. The deadlift is still pretty rough, but I have a decent set up, and I just have to 'iron out' the motion. The Squat is now pretty good so I'm starting to put weight on, and I work with 40 kilos at the moment (90lb). I usually do 3 or 4 before something goes wobbly in the technique, so I rack the bar, start again. I think I'll start adding the numbers to the squat now. I'm reasonably satisfied with the motion.

I don't think squatting 'a$$ to grass' is good form, though I can do that, but getting deep is good, just not bottoming out. It seems the hams aren't doing work at the very bottom and it's all glutes, so the balance is off, movement is a bit jerky. I see very experienced squatter do a weitd little jerky motion with their spine coming out of the bottom, so I think one should only go as deep as the top of the jerky motion, and no deeper. I still do 'a$$ to grass' for mobility training, but not as a technique.

I'm really getting interested in these big lifts. At first I couldn't move well enough to do them, but I worked at it, week after week after month after month, and now, after 7 months, I can do the full motions, and even though form's not absolutely great, I will start to put on the numbers.

I wet to work on my deadlift, and it's still pretty sloppy, but I was thinking I'll add 20 kilos next time anyway.

I worked with 10kg plates on squat so that's 40kilos or roughly 90lb, and it's good for my level, but I added 20 kilos to the leg press and push 180kilos (395lb approx) X 8 reps.

It is a year since I started weight training, and I made a video to sum up my journey.
