Being an Empath the building block for TFs?

*This is my belief based upon my experience(s). I know we are all different and approach our experiences differently. These are my thoughts on the subject and though some touch on them here and there, there aren't many who link being an Empath to the TF bond. I believe you can't have one without the other, and that the bond is based upon intense similarities in energy/frequency...*

As Empaths, we experience connections with multitudes of people, even strangers, throughout our lifetimes. Quite often, we don't even realize that we have connected with someone, either because we aren't focused or we dismiss what feelings or senses we may have. But now and again, we experience a connection that does capture, as well as hold, our attention. Even if this is a person who momentarily crossed our path and then continued on their way, the intensity of the connection can last long after the person has moved on. We may also dismiss some of these deep bonds as silly or unimportant because once the person - their energy - has left us, we lose "interest." Maybe there was no other interest to speak of other than the oddity of how strong the connection was. And so we let it go.

But then there are the connections labeled Twin Flame. Deep, intense bonds that are inexplicable to our rational minds, and too overwhelming for our delicate hearts. In so many ways, not that different from other connections. Except, maybe when it comes to this TF connection there are more avenues to travel - perhaps this is someone we would find attractive even without the connection; perhaps this person is enamored by us and as Empaths we are sensing their thoughts and feelings and absorbing them as our own. Maybe there is something even deeper - more spiritual - going on. But no matter the reasons, what makes the TF bond different from all of our other Empathic connections is, we choose to accept this bond. We choose to pursue it; to nurture it; to allow it to grow within us. It may all be on a sub-conscious or energetic plane, but we make the choice to elevate this particular bond into something more.

We apply expectations; we allow it to overwhelm us; we, sometimes, allow it to control us; we let it, because we chose it. And to understand that is to understand that if it's becoming too overwhelming; too traumatic; too hard; too confusing; etc., we can also choose to let it go. We can choose not to absorb those empathic energies . We can choose to control it, while still maintaining the beauty and the sanctity of the connection.

As Empaths, we always need to be on guard, even when it comes to our own decisions and choices, and especially when it comes to Twin Flames.

Because the true twin flame relationship is a mutual, high vibrational, communicative thing, then yes, I believe that this theory of linking being an empath with being a twin flame has merit.

This is why narcissists (the opposite of an empath) would have a complete inability of working the Twin Flame template for any sort of 'serve humanity' mission.
