Madhu - Refinement of Light and Chaos

MADHU - "Skt. in the mythology of the Puranas, the personifications of darkness , one of the two primal forces that emerged from the primal chaos as "firstborn"; the personification of the other primal force, that of light, was Brahma (Abraham). These two divinities were among the most important DEVAS of Vedic period. They fought each other constantly, but neither was able to destroy the other (See Abraxas). In later Hindu cosmology, Madhu was slain by Vishnu in his manifestation as Krishna (Christ), and Brahma became one element in Hindu trinity (Trimurti)." Shambhala Encyclopedia

Why do we suffer? Why is the Darkness present with the Light?

For every philosophy or spiritual view a person can list, there is a root cause that must be known. With the perennial philosophy, the root is Manu, or mankind in Sanskrit. It means, "to think," which you will hear echoed in the Greek word Arete, or the highest aspiration of man (philosophy). This is summed up in the goal: Gnothi Seauton (know thyself)

In Eastern Mysticism, it is realized that there is one mind acting in relative to itself. Enlightenment is finding our / your true nature (Dharam) and essence (Mind). All paths and ways are the search for this one mind (God). From this arrival back to source, the real work begins. At no time will the relative fail to exist apart from the Absolute. Reaching Nirvana is not exist from Mara (illusion), but the real work to master the relative. While we are each the mind of our source, we are also each relative within that source. It's not possible to one day be the source, since all other relatives around you are also form that same essence. Flipping this, the object is neither to be unaware or separate from the source. There are two Hebrew words that show this clearly.

1) Echad, which is union of multiples. A family is a good example. An Assembly of monks is another. Yoga literally means union, or joining of opposites into new things. From fundamental particles and elements to the largest stars and planets, the universe is a place of birth, or Yoga (unlimited potentiality). Bend a new direction, your mind never goes back to it's former shape. NEW at all times. The other half of this work to create is the mind itself. Life is the point. Birth is the point. Two coming together to make a new thing.

2) Yachid, or single / bad. The point of the universe is to discover both the intent and the basis for mind. It is literally this collective mind we all share that builds, maintains and gives purpose. Being alone is the opposite of the work the universe accomplishes, which is the pride of trying to rise above it's intent--love.

The age old question in philosophy is this: How can we have unity with multiplicity? Answering this question has been the primary quest for Manu, or the reason to think.

In physics, the early universe was in a high state of order with low entropy. In essence, chaos was unlimited potential in all directions. From this primordial chaos, light was refined into purpose. To accomplish this, the image of light had to have an opposite, but light has this one defect--it cannot be seen. It has no opposite. This is the essence of each person being the light. Our only way to see light is to be the thing we need to see. For this, an opposite to the light is only seen by the light itself. How can this be done?

Simplified Physics and Quantum Mechanics

In physics, the light is invariant symmetry. It is unchanging and always itself. To differentiate the light, translation of the light must take place. For this to occur, imbalance in the light must break symmetry, yet leave the invariance untouched. All of physics is this process of imbalance to break symmetry. This is called translational symmetry. The strong force in nature preserves the Positive (proton) with the Neutron, or neutral. Positive / Neutral is the Dharma, or nature of things (Dzogchen). Chen is Zen, or the neutral / positive mind. Electrons (-) break symmetry, allowing for entropy. Entropy and death are Suffering, or the Sanskrit term Dukkha. Dukkha means imbalance, or a wheel out of balance. See Tao 11 for a description of the wheel and empty space, each providing complement to the other.

As all things are impermanent with Maya (illusion), there IS an end to suffering. The point of suffering is for one purpose: God has no opposite. He is only good. For God (light) to make a copy of himself, he is only seeing his own image. For that image to be different, it must first be broken. In other words, there is no remission of sin without the shedding of blood. Better stated, there is no individuation of the image without first breaking the image. Light had to be broken.

In Buddhism, this is referred to as expedient means. In other words, it's not a moral or ethical way to engage the mind, but necessary to divide the mind for the image to individuate. From this, the mind can then do the job of Manu--meditate (think!). From this, we can put the pieces of Humpty Dumpty back together again, thereby finding our source again. We become the light, yet something new. The image is now complete. All in All.

These verses should no make sense. Yoga is union.

Hebrews 9

23 It was necessary, then, for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with human hands that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence.

When Yoga is complete:

1 Corinthians 15

24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For he “has put everything under his feet.”[c] Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. 28 When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

Who is the Bread of Life, broken for us? The Cosmos. We are all Sons and Daughters. This Son imaged form Light is all of us, or Lord (Ishvara) of Creation

Colossians 1

15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Without the Son of God being refined, the parts and whole cannot come together. We are each in that list above. All of us. One loaf, many slices.

It's for a reason. YOU!

"God has no opposite. He is only good"
It's interesting that you relate God to supreme goodness. I believe the same because the word God, which means creator, ruler of the universe, etc, can only be equated only to goodness, eternal love, peace, in my opinion because to do otherwise, you would claim that God is also responsible for the many horrors in our world or that there is some sort of balance between good and evil and above all you would make God appear limited as if he had a need to create suffering in order that his creation be better.

However, I don't believe "Light had to be broken."
I think light can be lowered in frequency and in order to exist light less than supreme good, there must be another force, totally separated from God, in creation.

Indeed. You are referring to Chaos. Read the definition of Madhu in the opening of the text. This is not something God is apart from. The knowledge you are referring to is the knowledge of good and evil, which God knows, therefor, part of him. Knowing and mastery over are two different things, just as the Chaos (the Son broken into relative) is that very essence refined along with the light. The refinement is both. Simulation in a copy. Read the Hebrews 9 verse set.

Adam "KNEW" Eve. Eve is time.

My take on darkness is different than most from what I read around here. Darkness is "present" with the light, in the same way the shadow of the tree appears whenever a cloud momentarily blocks the light of the sun. The sun is that which exists in and of itself, always and forever. Darkness is the temporary shadow-perspective that results from standing behind the tree, unable to view the sun as it shines elsewhere and all over. Darkness isn't the opposite of light, or 50% of some imagined light/dark creation ratio. Darkness is the human being closing the eyes and going to sleep. Like a cloud blocking the sun. Open the eyes and the darkness is gone.

Most of what people call suffering is just closing the eyes. It's a willful act of defiance towards the light of life. Most people prefer the shuddered darkness of sleeping to the glaring brilliance of the sun. That's why all those myths about darkness were created.

Perfectly stated. I am showing you the tree by its purpose. Do a quick search for my full username in quotes. Go to my docs page. Read the 10 dimension sheet in a viewer so it can be enlarged. In Sanskrit, the Gunas are three modes of existence in the Triloka (creation). Waters above are Light (Sattva / Being). This is where your mind resides in perfection. Waters below is Tamas, or shadow. In the middle, the mirror, or Rajas (time). Seeing the light is emerging form the shadow by knowing the essence of both waters. Baptism is immersion into Tamas. Sattva is liberation by mastery, realizing that the whole is Nirvana (one Dharma).

Give that docs page a read. The PDF is profound if you look each of the Sanskrit terms up. There is a universe of realization from it.

Putting it more simply, Madhu means honey. It is also the term that's sometimes interchangeable with Soma or Nectar that is produced by the Bindu Chakra.

Purification of Madhu means to extract all of the poison out of it before it becomes pure.

When Khechari Mudra is first practiced, Bindu secretion is very bitter, bile and corrosive, but with refinement through kriyas and antar dhouti, it becomes more purified and rarified until all of the gross elements banish or are filtered away, leaving only the pure Soma.

It is akin to Sri Neelakantha drinking the poison before bestowing the bliss.

....and seeing the Shadow as emerging from the Light leads to the direct experience of Bhairava.
