I think perhaps a longer period is needed, coz sometimes folks say something stupid and later think better of it. Will that 15 minute period be extended?

I promise I really can't. The edit button doesn't even appear at all - even immediately after posting. I've tested it several times tonite. Perhaps something to do with not being on full privellages yet??. Lucky I'm so fluent!!

edit - OK so you've fixed it, lol. Agree with Gem though, 15 mins isn't enough ideally. Sometimes I'll put stuff and think later, mmmm perhaps that was a bit heavy, don't wanna give anyone bad dreams, then rush back and lighten it up..... see how selfless w'ere being, hehe.

Well me gemmybaby (a take on jellybaby .. sweeties from the UK lol = gorgeous n yummy!) .. you know what one needs to do then .. but brain in gear before foot goes in mouth! ... or on a more serious note, folk need to take a step back, re-read what they've posted, edit if need be, and post again. Simples. :) xx

I actually have edited posts days 'afterwords' (so to speak),before. I remember in the past, it was about 15 minutes or so, but after the crash or whatever there was infinite edit there for awhile.

I am happy with 15 minutes. Just have to proof read little more thoroughly before posting is all.

I reckon like a 'cooling off period' is needed, and 15 mins is not long enough, because people will say things in the heat of the moment... and later would wish to retract it.

Sorry but to me all it needs is a little more care and attention (this is me the member talking not me the staff). Nobody needs more than 15 mins to realise they've posted something they shouldn't have done in the first place, even in the very heat of the moment. But even so like I've said and like Deusdrums said, proof read. But lets be honest here - until the function was turned off, it's not been an issue so whats the problem now?
