Sorry I have to disagree. What you are describing in your first sentence, i.e. 'the capacity to contact and get help from cosmic spiritual energies' is spiritualISM!!! It is a branch of spirituality rather than the trunk, spirituality itself.
I view spirituality as realising we are essentially spirit and being mindful of this in how we live our lives e.g. our interactions with others - diminishing our ego so that our light can more easily shine through us.
I feel you are splitting hairs (and getting it wrong) by saying mysticism isn't spiritual since it involves spiritual experiences.
