Earth: prison, school, theatre or evolution's laboratory?

What about the idea that the Earth is a beautiful planet with so many opportunities, and we are blessed to be here now?

Some may focus only on the limitations of physical existence and consider themselves to be in a prison.

Others may enjoy the experience of being the lead actor in a drama (or a comedy) of their own making, wondering how the play will end.

Others may enjoy the challenges of working with consciousness and exploring our own potential as human beings. Who knows what we may become.

It is all good.

You are right, i should also include the options of Earth as "just a ride" place and Earth as "Garden of God" place, which is how i feel it to be when i am in a good mood.

it regards the souls on this planet. Regarding the word souls, there is some conflict on whether the soul is our divine part, or should we call it spirit or consciousness. I am taking about our inner divine essence, what we truly are.

to me the soul is consciousness and spirit is the energy construct connected to the soul that incarnated.

I do like to view life on earth as an experiment, indeed a laboratory, for the earth and the universe to play with their creativity. There's no ''meaning'' or ''purpose'' to it, creativity does what creativity can do. We could've ended up with our ancestors staying in the trees, and instead have talking giant squirrels building civilizations. As a matter of fact we don't. There could be realms out there with anthropomorphic bananas worshipping a talking shoe. Who knows..?

But we do have our own 'world', created by ourselves, with our own customs, rules, relationships and experiences. That by itself IS meaningful and has purpose. This tells us however nothing about the universe. We should not project our meaning and purpose on the universe. We are subject to change and subject to the energies of the game as much as any other species. Claiming that humans are the secret kings and queens of the entire universe is the greatest error in all spirituality..

I've never believed God is benevolent. God is the universe itself, every object and action within it, thus neither benevolent nor malevolent. So much bitterness, confusion, and despair results from the concept of omnibenevolence, because bad things just happen sometimes. So we blame demons instead, or lose all sense of magic in the world. It brings more peace to see the universe as cost and benefit, cause and effect, action and reaction. Nothing particularly personal.

It was told to me this way.
The earth is a Mother.The sun a Father. The Moon a Grandmother.
The great Mystery and the Holy Mother made all these things to be in unity
and share our talents and Love.(This is Wankan Tanka)
The possibilities are as varied as the individual.
We had robes that translate like silk light robe or veil of light that shine forth the image or essence of Creator.
It has been told that we could directly communicate with the animals and had a
more direct connection with all the earth and it's beings.
It is said that a spirit called doubt has entered and that Man
allowed it and we now have the season we are now in.Wisdom and knowledge and power
are weakened by excepting the spirit of doubt.But at any time you can begin to remember that
you are sacred and all the earth is sacred all the way down to the spark in the molecule
that is in all, and we can walk in a sacred manner and walk in your gifts of talents and Love.
These animals we call people and these swimmers we call people, the creepers and crawlers
we call people, also the plants all are called people.The rocks we call people.For they are our relatives.
We treat Rocks and water and fire and the green as sacred.
So it is that when we once again find our silk light robes to wear again by getting rid of all doubt
and treating all in a sacred manner then our sacred hoop will be restored in unity and Love.
This is predicted to happen after so many generations and the Wankan Tankan will also return.

So yes it can be like school and it can be like prison but it is much much more it is sacred.
