any ideas to cure lumbar stenosis. I spend an hour a day on my core muscle exercises. Even then pain will come if I stand more than an hour.
If your kidneys are in good shape, you might want to try anti-inflammatories (NSAID).

Stretching might be worth another look. I don't have stenosis but stretching has relieved my regular and quite intense back aches as I slowly got the tension out. Stretching back muscles is difficult and requires a patient and long term dedication. After a year of that I still have a ways to go with my back but I haven't had a backache except a similar pain I sometimes get after my stretches. It last only a minute (literally) now and then my back feels looser than ever. It's pretty much good except the vertebrae between my hips and near my neck now. I would get in a stretch like the butterfly or scorpion and go gentle if I were you. Just feel the stretch out, make little shifts until its stretching your hips. Be careful though. you usually have to stretch other muscles to get to muscles you need to stretch. For me at first I was stretching surface muscles, but I've gotten to the muscles between my spine and hips now, deep in my legs and back, and little tiny thin muscles that might be ligaments or tendons. Its CHANGED my LIFE! I try not to go to far an any one stretch now though lol... I've had multiple one or two hour long stretching sessions that changed my life just then... where my whole body felt loose and noodley afterward... now I just want the process to work, it taught me patience and listening to my body!

I worked on Orthopedics as an X-ray tech for 10 years. Its a condition where the spinal canal narrows so you are pretty much done. The only cure you can get now is believing in Jesus and Mary and asking the Physician to come heal you .. But it requires faith, tremendous faith.. like me. I have listened to Jesus on what he said about the cripple.. "have faith and be well!" Heck that's to easy for me!

I went out on a work comp back injury in 2009-- 2 bulging disk but I recovered with my faith. ++I was doomed to hvy labor to repay my child support. 10 years in the dumps.

All of the above :)...then ask yourself where do your feelings (perhaps unconscious) of a lack of support come from;
could be financial, could be
messages from the past like, "You'll never amt to anything"..or ''This world is hard''.
What is keeping you from standing tall and simply doing what it is you would like to....successfully.
Just a thought.

If you have extra weight that could be pulling on the lumbar causing discomfort ...again ...why are you retaining
this weight and not 'going for it' ---being slim and fit...

WHAT is holding you back, my friend ...a message from childhood?
Some nutty belief system?

(How many xs did I have to have a knee issue before someone simply said to me in a book club yrs ago, "Ya know knee
issues usually mean fear of moving forward."

Oh? Never had another knee issue!)

Ya, know I had stenosis since I was a teenager and just recently corrected (long time).

I went to the chiropractor. He did mention to me that if I may have been older that I may have not adjusted as well. It's helped immensely. The issue is your pelvic tilt is off. You need to be contracting more in your lowest abdominal region and sitting forward more. Sitting forward does not mean your upper torso but focusing on the bend between hip bone and hip socket.

One fairly simple thing you may want to try is this. If you truly have stenosis then you would easily appreciate the difficulty of a forward bend. Well, not so much the difficulty but how poorly you perform. So, you can lift your legs to 90 degrees, put your butt against the wall, and just sit there in an elevated forward bend. Just breath deep, relax, go very yin. That will pull the life nerve, which yogis do suggest is one area that needs stretched everyday.

I've lost weight from having the stenosis taken care. Having my body in alignment has helped me manage stress and anxiety easier so, I don't carry weight like I once did. I eat more donuts now than I ever did pre getting this corrected and just lose weight. So, with less anxiety comes less nervous eating. Some days it can be like 6 pm and have I've forgotten to eat.

Just one follow up:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNdJti7ZwKI

That stretch may help also or any of the many variations of it. So, if you go to the chiropractor...they are essentially position you into what it would be to do that stretch on their table. But they are going to use leverage and just twist you so far that it will pop that lower disc in alignment. It is kind of like a training wheels type of thing. The chiro will pop you in place and your body feels what proper alignment is like. But then you will go to old habits and have to get readjusted. It's somewhat gradual...not an instant fix.

I wouldn't be surprised if you had stenosis if you also had some foot issues. Because once the stenosis is fixed then the chiro will probably need to start looking at your hips. Lay on the ground and raise each leg and see if one can raise easier than the other just out of curiosity.

Hello all.
Fellow experiencers of chronic pain/limited immobility as result of trapped nerves in lumbar spine may find this machine helpful.

Back 2 Life Therapeutic Massager model BL 202.

Found one I use in charity shop many years ago. Butsearch online suggests still available.
