Binaural beats

Hi, how many of you have heard of or used binaural beats during meditation? If so, what is your opinion/"review" of them? Any interesting experiences on them? Its my experience that they are quite beneficial and induce a meditative trance quicker than traditional methods. Also, I've gotten deep insight into metaphysical reality and even the nature of the universe through their daily use. I stopped listening to them for a while because I got out of sync with my yoga and meditation practice. What do you guys think of them?

I am a fan. Primarily, the insight I've received is of a personal nature. Also, at times, it is a rather psychedelic experience, lots of colours geometric shapes, that kind of thing, fun but calming at the same time.

It is very soothing for me, the meditative process for me, with or without the beats, always climaxes once I've lost awareness of the feeling of my body. Binaurals certainly induce this effect faster, I can really feel my mind or spirit or at least my surrounding energy field very vividly, and can sometimes feel like I'm just about to leave my body but I remain tethered.
I have had very very very psychedelic imagery while listening to them, usually for an hour straight or so. One was of a bright star surrounded by a ring of debris, like gigantic rocks and such. From this image I got the idea that stars function a lot like people, and souls. One lesson I got was that the debris is a lot like the mask people wear when you first meet them, you see them the way they want to be seen. However, once you get to know a person better, i.e move deeper into the debris field and thus closer to the star, you discover who that person really is-their soul i.e the actual star the debris ring protects.
What about you guys?
