Only having bad dreams

Hi! This isn't about me, but my mom and my very close friend only have bad dreams and can't remember ever having any good dreams, do you guys have any insights as to why this might be? My friend has a lot of trauma but my mom not as much.

Our dreams our the subconscious mind's way to process what wasn't processed during the day. They are a tool to help us work through stuff so it stands to reason they would lean more towards troubling than happy. I also think that we only remember the dreams when the subconscious mind wants to start communicating with the conscious mind. It means there is a willingness to sort out what troubles us so in a way it isn't a bad thing that they have troubling dreams. it just means that they are focused on sorting themselves out. The point is, that it isn't good or bad, right or wrong. Just that they may be more focused on the things that trouble them compared to other people.

Of course they only have bad dreams... That's basically what dreams do, targetting your weaknesses, traumas, and unfulfilled desires/wishes. They'd better learn to live with it like the rest of us because nothing can be done about it.

This is what helped me, I called for Christ's help, I am not trying to convert you or something like that, tell your mom and your friend that they may try to call for Christ when they have a nightmare, tell them to keep this thought in the back of their mind and when the nightmare will come, they will automatically call for Christ. This is what I said daily: "When the nightmare would come, I will call for Christ's help"; I did this even when I was away and even against Christ but I still recevied His help.

Anti-depressants and therapy worked for me. Trauma needs to be directly addressed with professional help.
