Book1 how do you manifest when you don't know what it would feel like to get it

Last May I was laid off from a job I really liked and have struggled to find work since. I haven't just lazed about, I started a graduate program in web development and have been applying to what feels like thousands of jobs a day It has been almost a year and I am in the weird place of being overqualified to the point that I don’t get an interview or way underqualified to point I know not to apply until I am further along in my program.
The week before last I was contacted by a recruiter for a position at Disney that could really set the tone for my career after I graduate. The timing was too perfect to not attribute this to manifestation. Also, it seems like I am seeing Disney everywhere (granted they own everything now lol), but the old me would attribute that to "I'm just paying more attention now", kind of like when you are driving a new car and you start to notice the same car everywhere.
I have taken as much action to make this happen for myself and I have tried to align myself with this desire, but I fear that I am just visualizing getting this position instead of manifesting it into my life. I understand that manifestation comes from feeling instead of focus.
How do you manifest something when you have no idea what it would feel like to have it? How do I tell if something is a sign or just me noticing something then fixating on it so it seems like it is occurring a lot? Any advice, insight or resource suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I am not sure if you will log in again, so I'll keep it short. For one, your going to get a job. Your highly skilled, you worked hard for your degree and there is no doubt in my mind you will be successful in your journey. All you have to say to do is keep reminding yourself the following' a great job is coming to me".

Second, I recommend to make a 'Focus Wheel' by Abraham Hicks. You can find more information on them on youtube or a basic web sight source. Basically your just writing positive affirmations on paper, but your getting into specifics and practicing feeling good.

Stay confident and Best of luck

Clover

Easier to number your questions...
#1. My first thought was,"Huh?" 'feeling instead of focus"?
The 2 together is the thing.
#2. This is where you take the time to close your eyes and use your very
powerful imagination.
#3. Start getting in touch with your innate intuition.

Start with taking moments through out the day being still and silent...not listening to your thoughts.
Try listening to subtle sounds all around you instead, for example....your breathing ...notice
how your are a bit tense, but how after 45 seconds your muscles and shoulders feel more relaxed...start to 'feel'.

Soon you will learn to trust what you feel in your gut...your intuition.
The mind questions all the time...the inner self, the heart knows, your inner small voice...hahaha,
but you have to get in touch with it and learn to rely on it.

That's my input. Good luck.

Hi Clover!

Hi NoviceCreator,

Hope this note finds you well. I just want to say that I came across your post today, and was sparked to respond....which, as you've probably realized by now, is the same "spark" in you which is pushing you so powerfully to do what you said in your post about becoming a developer.

To your excellent question, "How do you manifest something when you have no idea what it would feel like to have it?"

....try this perspective: Imagine what it would feel like to actually drive the new car you mentioned above...to work, after getting up in the morning, getting dressed, looking at where you parked it, hearing the click of your electronic key unlock the door, smelling that "new car smell" as you open and close the door (and you don't even notice you've been absently humming or smiling) because you are SOOOOO happy to be driving to a job you can't WAIT to get to!

Do you see? The power associated with imagining something that is as real as that scenario is a combination of effortless focus AND emotion.

You can imagine THAT can't you? And as Ms. Hepburn said, "It's about both feeling AND focus!"

Something else to consider: Isn't being a developer about having a clear MENTAL picture of the desired result...and then building it out from a perspective of "associated, supportive pieces under-girding the structure OF the desired result? Or something akin to that process? Yes?

So in answer to your thread question: "How do you manifest when you don't know what it would feel like to get it?"

THAT'S WHAT IT FEELS LIKE!

Do you see? You've ALREADY got a feel for how to mentally apply your developer's imaginative skill set toward a desired "end result": seeing yourself working AS the end result of this project! Get it?

Hope this....and the reference below helps you! Just don't get a ticket in your eagerness to get to work, after you "snare" it alright? (drum roll, please)

Hope ya can tell us all about it soon!
