Would someone please double check this reading?

I got a reading asking "Ronin has been thinking of someone from her past She has not had any contact with in 6 months. Its going as
far as she thinks about them all day, missing them, dreaming of them... This all started out of the blue about a month ago. She is not sure if its okay to contact them."
(the reading is via email from a student in a class for this)
Here is what I got....

They drew for me:
The Ace of Wands
IV The Emperor

The Other Person:
XVI The Tower
10 of Cups

Outcome:
Seven Wands
Tree Wands
Quote:
Sarah: You are represented by the spark of the Ace of
Wands, that fire that burns in your heart. Something
that just pops up and you want to act on it. Take a
really good look at the top and bottom portions of this
wand. I am getting the idea that this person may have
been a past significant other. Aces are potential and
wands are our passions and desires. How interesting
that this card should come up for you. You say your
feelings came up out of the blue? That is what the Ace
of Wands is known for. The next card that represents
you is the Emperor. The 4
th
card of the Major Arcana –
You are using the discipline of this card not to contact
the person you are constantly thinking about.

Other Person:
The other person you are thinking about seems to
have gone through a hard time or a rude awakening
based on the Tower Card the 14
th
card of the Major
Arcana which when reduced to 5 (1+4)is a major
change that is not invited. The other person seems to
have survived it and is happy based on the 10 of Cups.
10’s are the ultimate and Cups are about emotions in
this case happiness. Question: Who are you in the
picture of the 10 of Cups?

The Outcome:
The Outcome is the 7 of Wands telling you that you
will continue to struggle with your desires if you do not
contact them. What is the worst that can happen if
you do? Remember wands are our passions and
desires. 7’s are welcome change that comes from
within, Maybe chasing away that Emperor with a big
stick is a good idea. And look the cliff if you fall is not
that high, someone has got to be holding those other
sticks, right, if the cliff is so high they wouldn’t be able
to control them, right?
The 3 of wands is telling you that the other person is
looking for something, waiting for their ship to come
in. He can’t wait for his ships to get to the port so he
can see everything they’ve brought to him. Maybe
someone’s passion is waiting for you to call them.
Remember the Tarot tells you what is in your heart of
hearts. You want to call them, what is it that is
stopping you? Even though they may have been hurt
they are over it. Stop struggling with yourself and
contact them. You may be very surprised.

When I looked up these cards I feel like maybe I got a different message...
But then again Im not trained in Tarot cards

It's difficult to restrict cards meanings to the "book". Tarot readers read from the gut, they rely on their intuition. The cards can act as a trigger imo but the reading comes from the reader.

So double-checking someone else's reading isn't really going to work, do you see what I mean? If a reading doesn't resonate with you, then it's best to let it go. However, be self-aware enough to realize that a reading might not resonate with you simply because it isn't what you were hoping to hear. Always take a step back and view readings and such as tools and perhaps guidance you can take on board, but not as instructions. They're just snapshots.

I am still attempting to integrate the Tower with the 10 of cupswhen describng the overall situaton of another person as collapse and harmony are quiet dsparate.
I did get the sudden and new stuations re writng the rule book (settng new condtions that may feel restrictive or dominatng) in the first two cards

I also got as the outcome you feeling very much as though you had to defend your position, to explain yourself to critics of your actions.7 wands, to such an extent that you will want to move away, get away 3 wands.

D'oh! My bad, I see Ronin, you're looking for other interpretations.

Hmmm.. Neville, perhaps the tower is about the blinding flash of insight that might show that what one would consider harmony is pre-existing. Like a curtain coming down and the sunlight reveals the truth in the room.

I see the Ace of Wands and The Emperor to be about using that potential force, bending it to what you want... the ability to manifest and create the situation. The power is in your hands to get things started.

I NEVER do specific questions like this. Given that reading tarot is largely intuition, setting a specific question essentially puts intuition in a strait-jacket and pre-empts the interpretation. Intuition is free-wheeling, without a definite "shape" so by setting a question, you are forcing a square peg into a round hole. That's how I see it.
