My mother is about 50 and she does sports.
She chose special fitness program for women and traines 3 times a week.
Very good results are achieved if there is a wish and an effort!

Good luck! Stay sportive and healthy!

My mom is 65, and she is swimming every Monday and Friday. She has few girlfriends, and after that they are going to a tea shop. :)
Also she is doing all house chores every day so that is also counts as an exercise. It's important to keep your body in shape and to be in motion and do not sit too much. After menopause women has decreased level of Ca in body so each women has to use some Ca supplement :)

Book1 Swimming

Try swimming, burns a lot of calories and is easy on the joints. Start with hot tub first to loosen up muscles.

Hoop dance to music. It's so fun and I have become strong and flexible and balanced since using hoops. YouTube has tons of tutorials. Also ballet bar exercises and dancing. yoga and tai chi. These things help me feel like a kid. I practice safe fluid movement, and guard my joint health.

I made my first hoops from irrigation tubing and sport tape for grip. Best to learn with a big hoop. But as soon as I could I moved to smaller lighter hoops to keep tendons safe. Plenty of hoops for sale on line. I never see them in regular stores other than kid hoops.

My husband likes gardening, which is sometimes strenuous but very rewarding for him.

How's it going, Uma?

Any new experiences?
I would love to hear them... in need of inspiration, regardless of age.

whoa - I just saw this

inspiration? I'm returning to my yoga practice
I turned my bedroom into a mini yoga studio so that reminds me every morning when I get up

over 50 often have problems getting enough sleep - I think that creates problems with exercise too
