Sunlight in my eyes
the dust of another day riding the hazy tide
and the figures of many a year
all now collected in one.

Sometimes my feet step on earth
with little caution just natural shifts
from the lost to the now
no shadows in the seething sky.

When the figure appears
so real and yet so illusive
many forms of apprehension melt
in the sands of dissolving time.

A call from within
heralds a new day; a new purpose
burnt deeds now laid out to waste
in the heat the body accepts more.

Water springs forth unabated
If imagined so
what now created in thought
carries forth until fleshed out.

Under the sand many legends lost
yet the undaunted still walk on
without undue recourse
to past endeavours of some remorse.
