Hello Din,
For me I sure hope not.
To me sometimes a thought is just a passing or a reaction to how I feel.
Some may build upon another, some seem to just pop in.
How real the something is that may be created by them depends on how much validation you give to the thought.
IMO, they are as real as one makes them to be and in a way this can create a "reality" to the individual and I suppose the individual can project some of this out into the world. But is it the way things truly are? Which is another subject, I suppose.
Just some thoughts ( ) on this.

our perceptions are thoughts on steroids
they're thoughts that involve time and space and sight and sound and feelings and emotions...
what do you think?

Greetings..
Thoughts are the process of potential manifesting into our individualized realities, which.. through agreement, collaboration, conflict, and resolution forms a collective reality.. portions of which are 'fixed' by consensus, and other portions are fluid by the ambiguity of preference and prejudice.. perceptions are the data and information that add structure and consistency to thoughts..
Be well..

most people feel they are finite bodies that exist in space. a newtonian worldview that is 400 years old.
so our common sense feelings and perception lag behind what our mind already knows to be scientifically true. that everything is made out of space of potentiality and all is inseparably one.
what we don't feel it, perhaps another 400 years, the feeling will catch up and this will be the general commonsense perception of that era.

Hello Din,
I would agree that thought affects ones perception.
In my view, time, space, and what is taken in by the senses can influence thoughts. How one identifies and interprets those things, seem to be what thoughts do.
How much one holds onto these definitions influence, to me, how one interacts with the environment and those things with in it. It also can influence what one projects back into the environment.
All seem to act, for the individual, one upon the other.
Thoughts, to me, in short are the taking and process of information and how to form the information and act upon it or not.

hooking devices in your brain can create a virtual reality where you can't distinguished from the your brain's natural reality.
ponder that.
everything is both at the same time an internal process and an external outcome of that processes.
ponder that

You are misrepresenting what "our mind already knows to be scientifically true".. what is "scientifically true" is that everything is energy, which is perfectly capable of separating itself into unique independently functioning versions of itself..
Be well..

There is a huge different between "actually true" and "scientifically true", i did not address "actually true"..
Surely, hybrid, you wouldn't make "absolute statements", would you?
Be well..
