Death to Life to Death
One year ago my life was simple
Simply dull and normal
I didn’t know that I was dead
Then you waltzed in
You danced with my heart
Your electrified silk skin woke me up
I was alive for the first time in my life
I was home in your arms
We were pure unconditional love
Our time was fleeting
We made the most of every minute
Then my heart was shredded and scattered
I dreamed you died two days before
You dismissed it when I told you
I knew you were leaving
You’re still with me
You travel through realms to see me
Much gratitude for that, Love
I miss your touch and 1000 other things
My home is gone
It’s among the stars and galaxies
Someday I’ll return
