I haven't given readings but I have given advice based on my own life
experiences. These people ask for help from all in their posts.

I think this is about anyone having the arrogance to assume they know how another person 'ticks'....and that from a few posts on a Forum!
Goodness! It's hard enough to work out how we ourselves are put together on the inside -and rather silly to imagine we know anyone else in that way. Especially as we don't even know what the person looks like in most instances! Never mind their issues, history, strong points, problems, and soul challenges in this life (or even 'past lives' !)

Anyway, these assumptions are usually far off the mark. I know that because I encountered one or two in the past, and the 'clever' person who thought they knew how I ticked -hadn't a clue!

I think everyone should stop to think if anything we are about to post could be construed that way, and be as mindful as possible about what we say to others.

I kinda think it depends on the place the person is coming from within and how they communicate the message... like if they have a kind of condescending tone and feeling a bit powerful over the other person and are coming primarily from ego of look what I can do and be quite blunt in passing the message then I think that's rude and potentially harmful... but I guess personally I'm open to the possibility that people may sometimes be coming from their higher selves and have a very strong intuition to tell you something so I'm ok with that... :)

Ethics require, first the request, for help is often not wanted, second information on the details of the process, and third, permission to undergo that process.

Once that fully informed consent is given, there are ethical issues of safety and protection to consider, and finally, the discretion of confidentially is paramount.

The discretion requires a very sensitive approach. Undivided attention is needed to recognise the indicators where a person is becoming uncomfortable and disquieted.

There is tremendous care in refraining from suggestivity or personalising commentary but terms such as 'you are', 'you have' or other terminology that imposes some quality of identity which a person might adopt as 'true about themselves'.

In that help is not the same as advice, the balance of power is tipped toward the reader as what they say is influential, in that being trusted, the individual is likely to believe what it told to them.

That then starts to become very subtle as the interaction has an effect, but in an and influential way. Contrarily, the effect is one that empowers the individual to move forward under their very own decisive power, and not under the suggestion or influence.

So much detail involved in it... so delicate so sensitive and there is a big responsibility in taking the right kind of care.
