We are in agreement on this point.
However--there are (also) cases--where Healers try to make people believe that a person's "Faith" can reverse the all too natural effects of advanced aging.
When I was trained in Reiki...I was taught that this healing practice would not always be used to completely heal another--that this Gift was (also) meant to help people accept the reality of their situation and ease their passing.
IMHO--it is more honest and much kinder--to help people face what is and bring them whatever comfort you can in the time they have left.
Relating this back to the OP's original topic...I believe that people like the Healer I described above--make it much easier for certain Religions to demonize and condemn who we are and what we do.
