I suppose it depends on your view of a spirit guide.
We are all connected, human, spirit, animal and nature, a guide to me is spirit communicating with us.

I agree with you cheeneka! :)
I do know this is different from the Chinese zodiacs cause they have animals for symbols too. Oh and I have not read that story that you mention cheeneka. I want to post what it means snake for Scarlett. I found this Scarlett in regards to power animal Snake.

When I think of 'power animal', I think of the lion that resides within me...it's what gives me strength...always has.
Even in appearance, it's present.

Scarlett I was looking online and there are other sites that gives you more information in regards snakes animal power. The one that I posted doesn't have much info but is still helpful. Its very interesting. :)
