Swimming pool, attractive girl and child

Last night I had a dream I was looking for some help interpreting.

At the beginning, I think there were 2 groups of people. A group of single guys and a group of single girls. Then I remember walking into a big indoor swimming pool. It looked quite luxurious. It had trees inside and a clear see-through ceiling with lots of light shining through.

I walked into the pool and seen a very attractive girl called Megan. I know of this girl but don't know her personally. I have often thought of her as my 'dream girl'. She was with a young boy (maybe 3-4 years of age) and it looked like she was bathing him. As I saw her I froze and didn't know what to say or do. So I just ignored her. She sensed that I was acting strange and left with the child.

This is a common thing that has happened to me throughout my life, I freeze when I see someone I am attracted too. I just couldn't bring myself to face her.

Can anyone help interpret the meaning? Thanks

This depends on you as the dreamer. Had you been thinking about her recently or did you recently run into her? Have you been wanting to ask her out or had you been thinking about that? Where there is light, there is clarity. Children normally indicate newness or new beginnings. Pools are associated with contained or controlled emotions/feelings. Since she appeared to be bathing the child, it could indicate a sort of baptism or the cleansing of emotions or feelings that are holding you back or not serving you well. As the dreamer, always trust your instincts and how you felt in the dream. Since you froze when you saw her and felt awkward to be in her presence the dream could simply be showing you that you need to wash that away. Such a response is one of feeling unworthy or inadequate of her affection as if she is somehow on another level than you, but that is imply not the case. Overall, the trees and the light in the pool are good symbology and so is the child. Your awkwardness is the key to understanding this one. Did recently have an awkward encounter or a awkward or uncomfortable situation? Sometimes, dreams provide clarity and shine a light on things and at other times, they simply mirror back to us how we feel or felt in a moment.
