Are Mirrors Portals?

Do you consider mirrors portals to other realms or dimensions? Why or why not? Do you feel they need to be guarded or protected in any way?

Metaphorical mirrors? Absolutely, they provide us with self-reflective learning opportunities. They are soul-growth portals. Physical-material glass mirrors? No.

Any particular reasoning behind your beliefs?

Spirituality for me is a self-analytical, self-development path. All life is a kind of mirror for us: to observe ourselves and our reactions, for the purpose of self-understanding and soul growth. Also, I don't attribute metaphysical properties to inanimate objects; ouija boards for example, or the belief that a camera can steal the soul.

They can be portals depending on how they are used. Do you need protection? Only if you are messing around with opening portals and not closing them.

So you would say if a mirror hasn't purposefully been opened as a portal, it cannot act as one?

Not in themselves no, coupled with our psychic abilities then yes they are. Physical ones I mean. The problem with portals is that when you use them (including ouija boards) you open a door that allows things through, but you have no real control over what comes through. If you have protection on this side and/or a guardian on the other side you might get away with it. If not, who knows what might happen.

The other issue is that physical mirrors can also open us up to what's been hidden deep in our psyche so you could just as easily conjure up the monsters hidden in your own mind. There's no protection against them.

Only in dream environments, going through them you instantly travel to another location in the dreamspace.

Like a door, it has to be opened first. Basically, that is why I caution against people meditating and the like around mirrors without candles for protection because in meditation you can open a portal without knowing it or doing it intentionally.

The image of God is in two ways described. Genesis 1:27 says we are in the image of God (inside) and we are the image of God (his reflection). The primary lesson of a mirror is to see that the reflections, although a perfect likeness, is not you. You only recognize what you see because the image is inside you, not outside. What we see in our mind is a reflection of the light, which by itself, cannot be seen. Light is invisible. Since light has no second to see itself by, Mara (illusion) is generated from the light itself in relative form (E=MC2). By relative, I also mean what we are as relatives from the light itself (kinsman). We are Sun Born. The purpose of being in the image of God (MIND) is to gain the ability to see (insight is inside). Light outside then becomes visible. On the outside, light is matter (Mara). Mara is Buddha's mother. Prajapati is Mara's sister, also a consort of the King. BUDH means to awaken. Mara is Illusion. Prajapati is the "Lord of People." Wisdom is a female, or God's own Ruach Elohim (MIND). All that you see is light. All that you are is light. The image allows light to be seen. Once seen, you then self-reflect the light back to your true essence that is also invisible to you until seen by the light (Enlightenment / Light inside).

Information is formed inside. There are 10 directions. North, South, East, West, Past, Present, Future, Above as Below. What is the missing direction you gain sight from in time / space? INSIDE!

Look inside the image.

Go to my username, then see the docs page. 10 Dimensions explained. You are in all dimensions above and below. Seeking, Finding and Adaptation allows you to find the light.
