A mild cure is peppermint tea, chamomile, and elderflower.
A more difficult medicine to swallow is oregano tea--it works--tastes terrible.
However--I just got over a particularly bad case of bronchitis and for the first time in many years I had to resort to an OTC--Musinex--and that finally cured me.
Sometimes it may even be advisable to seek the help of allopathic medicine and see a doctor for antibiotics. I haven't used them in many years--but you must be careful not to allow an infection to go too far.
Peace and Love on your path to Total Healing...
Blessed be...

a couple of drops of wild oregano oil in tomato soup is great...or dropped into steaming water with a towel over your head while you inhale deeply...just like you were giving yourself a facial.

Echninacea Angustifolia (root) tincture 1 teaspoon 3 times a day will help. (don't take this if you have immune system disorders like an auto-immune disease, or if you are on anti-rejection drugs after a transplant. And don't take it alongside antibiotics)
Raw garlic. If you find you can't eat the garlic because it tastes too "hot", chop a clove into tiny pieces and swallow them with water like a tablet.
Plenty of water to drink will help to keep the mucus loose.
Steam inhalations (bowl with boiling water, towel over your head, breathe the steam.) This is also a wonderful tonic for your skin! Clears pores and deep-cleanses.
It's important to get that mucus off your chest regularly, and to deep-breathe. What definitely helps to loosen phlegm so you can cough it out easily is to drum quite strongly all over your chest, at the sides, at the top, and at the bottom of your ribs, with the flat of your hands, slightly cupped. If you have a partner, ask them if they will do the same on your back. For a few minutes after breathing the steam, then cough properly to get the mucus up.
Doing this can help heal bronchitis much faster. And is a guard against possibly developing pneumonia.

When I can't shake a chest infection issue thing, I grate up some ginger and garlic, and steep it in boiling water for about fifteen minutes (like you're making really strong tea). Drink it up (quickly) and it helps.
Tastes like hellfire but it helps. Probably cause you don't want to have to take any more of the medicine.
