Preparation before attending Reiki Second Degree

I have a doubt regarding reiki practice and second degree attune time.
I had my first degree last year.

1- I don't practice much reiki (Monthly twice or thrice), then can I go for second degree attunement.
2- How can I prepare myself for second degree.

Not sure I am following you ...you have had level 1 attunement but have not been terribly committed to practicing, is that correct? And now you want to complete level 2?

I would suggest to dedicate yourself to 21 days of self treatment before going forward ...if you aren't using your Reiki to begin with, not sure why you want to proceed to the next degree but if you are feeling more called now, definitely do your 21 days of self treatment ...I feel you should commit to self treatment pretty much everyday even after that - but give yourself 21 days then; re-evaluate your idea of moving into the 2nd degree.

Normally you'd practice everyday or almost, meditate to improve it all.

If you feel called to it though, do it.

I have completed my 1st degree one year ago and practiced my 21 cleansing period honestly. But after that I didn't practice regularly but monthly twice or thrice practiced self treatment and did some healings as well.
But I was a bit confused should I go next level or not.
Yesterday I have started my second degree as well, and continuing my practice of 21days cleansing period.
