Total Recall

The whole amnesia thing and the afterlife reminds of the film Total Recall with arnie as the star.

Like we are double agents, and when we die we get Total Recall.

Anybody else think this or am I totally nuts?

We agree to forget when we come here. It's so we can fully learn our lessons with no attachments to our eternal home.

I do have memories of before I came here. They have come in in patchy memories, random, mostly. I don't meditate. It just seems I am in a dreamy spacey place and sometimes I slip into a realm that holds memories; seems since I've been there often it is easier for me to get there than say, someone who has never been there before.

Total recall. I can't remember the movie. But when we die, I do believe we 'catch up' to where we were before we incarnated.

When you're dreaming, usually, you don't recall who you are, the-you-who's-dreaming. It's the same thing.

In a dream you can become lucid, and remember the-you-who's-dreaming. In the same way you can get enlightened and remember who you are, who-incarnated-as-this-you.

It seems (maybe) we come here to infuse more and more of our Spirit into our reactions and relationships to life, minute by minute. And with no "answer book" so we react from a genuine place within ourselves, as we learn to manage this personality, and lights coming through from Soul.

It does make sense that forgetfulness would be the only way to do this honestly.
I also think that very few would bother with the struggles of life if they could constantly just retreat into what they know from Spirit. Such people would not immerse themselves in this experience.
It seems to be best then, that we treat this life as the only thing we have and meet its challenges as the only things we have got.
