Dream on!
What are your simple dreams? One of mine is to lay my hand on an old ginkgo tree to feel its pulse/energy. Or any older tree. I am going to make that dream happen once more.

That is sweet and lovely, hallow! I can relate being a lover of trees too. I love looking at trees from a distance, being near one close enough to touch it, or being surrounded by them.
One of my simple dreams is to learn how to garden and successfully grow plants from seeds.

I love gardening. And growing plants from seed. It gives me something to care and you don't have to take them for walks or to clean up after them. for me i like growing trees. I feel its a part of me that others can enjoy that i cared for long after i am gone.

Ok where do i start. Hahaha, i love all trees an plants but the ginkgo is unique in so many ways. First of all some how they managed to survive 250 million years on earth, that 3 mass extinctions and multiple ice ages. In that amount of time over 95% of all life on earth became extinct. At a sincetific point of view there unique too. There 1 of 2 plants on earth that have free swimming sperm that produces seeds. The living link between ferns, mosses, algae and free standing trees. Its believed that Chinese monks saved them from extinction. They are ginkgos over 1,500 years old on many monasterys. Those trees are some of the oldest know. They are thought to be extinct in the wild. There leaves are also commonly used in the medical trade. I also think there a extremely carsmatic tree. Maybe that's why the monks liked them. and really thats just the tip of the ice berg. Try growing one you'll see what i mean.
