Contact is a movie I've watched many times - It isn't a movie that helped me believe or not believe in a God. Having been raised in the Episcopal church (Sunday school/church every single week), I do believe in Jesus, but I see many questionable things in the Bible and having gotten interested in and studied about Buddha and Buddhism in the last couple of years, I find both valid philosophies/beliefs/whatever.
The movie touches the heart, no matter what you think it's trying to tell you.
