Glad you found it interesting...........James

Yes, very much so really when I think of it... They seemed happy and playful, so breaking in seems harsh, but they definitely wanted to get in, it was so odd because first it was chickadees on one side of the house right next to where I was, then maybe an hour later, a group of sparrows began doing the same thing!

How did you become interested in the meanings and you say you actually did work as a shaman? Extremely fasincating! Tell me more. pretty please?

It's a long, wonderful story but also all in the past now. It served me well.
Shamanic journeying for myself and others was the extent of my "work". The journeys were completely symbolic and thru dream meanings and totem meanings and intuition, I learned to interpret quite well and always followed by some type of confirmation.

When I went to a LOA workshop the other week, a swallow flew in through the window. No one dared to get it, so I managed to cup him in my hands and then set him free.
Then a few days later, I woke up to find feathers and blood around the house. Later on, a little baby blackbird came hopping out from under a cupboard. Cats had torn one of its wings off. Had to take it to the vets (They probably put it down). Ironically, I took it to the vets in a shoe box with the label 'FLY' on it.

Oh, that's so sad, but I'm glad you brought it in to the vets, even if they had to put it down. It ceased its suffering. Poor thing. I used to always rescue birds and other critters. Once I saw a sparrow stuck on a newly tarred road. I freed him and brought him home. I tried hard to get the tar off him without harming him (or her), but I couldn't get it all. I kept it in a bird cage on my porch. It lived for a couple months. Seemed happy enough. It ate well. I guess I should have brought it to a wildlife center. I had brought a robin there which had a broken leg and they looked at me like I was nuts, so I thought I would care for it myself...but after a couple months or so, it passed away. :-(

Hm.. I wonder how they died. If they weren't in any pain.. or in much pain, seems like by your descriptions that they just gave up the fight to live.

I thought maybe the toxins possibly got into the blood stream or that it was a bird born to be free, not caged. Have no idea really, but it was sad when it passed...it didn't seem to be in any pain whatsoever, but who knows. It didn't seem unhappy, but being used to flying and free, now it couldn't fly, could be.
