An Introduction
Don't be dissuaded by the username, I present myself as monstrosity only through the transformations of my own personal, psychological times of darkness. I identify with them only because I seek a light within it, such as a journey to the dark goddess... or an alchemical process.
I am very much a Jungian, and also influenced by Joseph Campbell. I am currently reading The Rebirth of the Hero: Mythology as a Guide to Spiritual Transformation, a book that espouses conclusions I have come to myself before reading. And as such, it gives me hope I will find others out there like me... each with their own rendition of personal mythology.
Indeed, my own personal mythology relates back to why I chose such a username for myself. Through my own trauma have I gained a small window in my unconscious, expressed through my writing and themes in my art. I write symbolically when it comes to my journey, in which I have traversed through such places as the abyss (albeit unwittingly).
I hope to meet others here on their own journeys through transformation. Spirituality has a large presence in my life as an artist and writer, things in which I hope to one day support myself with.

Hey monster, I am an artist as well and love the fact that you have been using the negative things in your life to promote growth and development. Maybe we can share some spiritual art ideas, I have been meaning to explore it a bit more. I normally work in fantasy and the like, in fact I have a few mythology centered pieces as well.
